Chicago’s favorite cabaret & cocktail bar. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Bordel, the Wicker Park cocktail bar and cabaret that has redefined Chicago nightlife through its unique fusion of performance art, live music, and craft cocktails. Since its inception, Bordel has created a space where provocative entertainment, live jazz and creative cocktails converge, becoming a landmark in the city’s cultural landscape.

From the start, Bordel made a point to not only welcome global and avant-garde acts, but to first support and showcase the very best talent in Chicago. Bordel’s stage has featured many of the city's top studio musicians and producers, up-and-coming artists and spectacular limited-run shows. Bordel’s long standing cabaret shows were originally hosted by world-renowned burlesque performer Miss Tosh, Vaudeville by Sally Marvel and AJ Sacco, and are now curated by the inimitable Shimmy LaRoux.

We didn’t have any food so I couldn’t truly rate that. The last time I enjoyed an evening at Bordel the show was completely different. There was a Flamenco dancer, talented fire throwing and true burlesque. This was a very very different show. One that was not expected and didn’t enjoy. We actually left after the first act. Very disappointed.

Had the absolute best night here!! Levi and the rest of the staff were incredible, food and drinks were great, and performers were so entertaining and talented. Will definitely be back soon! Perfect for a girls night

Our server Monica was nothing less of brilliant to handle a party of that size with patience, grace and promptness. She made the experience all that more enjoyable. Definitely 10/10 and we will be back and tell all of our friends and family.

Great vibes and space! I was a bit disappointed when I booked a stage view table for my birthday weeks in advance and was seated at the opposite side of the restaurant so my party wasn’t able to see any of the show. Our waitress said booking a “stage view” doesn’t guarantee it, so if you’re planning on attending a show I guess I’d double check with them beforehand.

They will sit you in the back room for the burlesque show even if you call ahead and make it known you and there for the show and blame it entirely on OpenTables reservation process. Not to mention they said this happens ALL the time. It was my birthday and we were sat in the back room (party of 10) alongside a bachelor party (party of 10+) who was also there for the show. They also sat us (10 people) at a table size meant for 2 at 7pm which is clearly dinner time. Be cautious if you are having a celebration/large party here there is a chance you will be in the back and won't see the show and sat at an extremely small table. The food and drinks were decent but half of our party had to eat on their laps. Very disappointing experience!
