Bouchon is the French word for cork. In the small farming village where the owner, Michel Baudouin, grew up, bouchon also refers to the friendly neighborhood bistro. The bouchons in Michel's hometown were supplied by local farms, and so we continue that tradition here.
His memories of simple, delicious, and comforting dishes shared at home or enjoyed at the local bistros inspired him to recreate that experience here in Asheville.

Excellent Restaurant with a great staff and menu! The Steak Au Poivre is amazing as well as the bread pudding! Justin is awesome at the bar!

The wife and I have been eating here for years, we have never had any issue with the service, food or ambiance. Go eat and enjoy, some nice wines as well.

The trout almondine was excellent! I ate far too many pomme frites because they are divine!! The service was excellent- we had a fussy eater in our party who was taken care of in a very gracious manner by our server.

Tika our server was wonderful. Beef Bourguinon and Steak Frites were fantastic. Comfortable environment and excellent comfort food, especially on the cool, winter evening we were there. Loved it and will be back.

Food is always great. House wines from the owners vineyard in France. Service was quick, friendly, helpful and efficient. It is always a must for us when we travel to Asheville.
