Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, this modern American steakhouse is a short drive from Philadelphia, the Main Line or Wilmington. The complete redo of the 300 year old Chadds Ford Inn has created an excellent canvas with which to paint. The cuisine is strictly twenty-first century with an emphasis not only top quality cuts of beef, like the 16 ounce Prime Delmonico, but fresh seasonal seafood, like jumbo lump crab and wild salmon. The comfortable bar beckons you in with a Best of Philly burger and a local draft beer. Creative sandwiches, great happy hour specials and great steaks ensure we have something for everyone. Modern finishes to a historic building create an inviting, hip atmosphere that welcomes all-from tourists to business travelers to local families to private events in one of our many rooms.

I highly recommend Brandywine Prime. We had the peppered steak of the day, grilled romaine, the mushroom torte, the tuna tartare and the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were disappointing — too salty and overcooked. But everything else was fantastic, perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was fun, professional and attentive. The Saturday night local bar scene was lively but did not detract from the dinner. I look forward to returning to this wonderful local restaurant. Warning: it is expensive!

Sat at the bar for happy hour before dinner. Had delicious oysters and tuna our bartender was very friendly and attentive. Made a delicious pear martini for my husband. Definitely will go back again next visit. The ambience was romantic.

Had the Beef Wellington and it was fantastic! We shared the delicious mozzarella appetizer and the bourbon crème brûlée, wonderful! People in the lively bar area were having a great time, looked like an occasion, but our table upstairs was not noisy. Expensive dinner out, but treat yourself - you deserve a great meal!

The fish special Tuesday was awful and not described accurately. Told it was tasted nearer to red snapper and tasted like cat fish. Fush skin was left on so maybe and the panko locked that bitter taste into fish. The corn salsa was cold and did not pair with that dish. Two of us had Salmon that was delicious and shared with the others that go that fish special. Served was less than adequate. Acted as if he wanted to be somewhere else. Not friendly overall and the restaurant was not full so such have been overwhelmed without alit of tables. Never tried Brandywine Prime trying to new places and this is not one to try again unfortunately 😵‍💫

Brandywine Prime always meets our expectations. The meal was perfectly cooked and presentation was wonderful. Our server was amiable and attentive to our table. This place never lets us down with a great meal, drinks, and ambiance.

We sat in a quiet area and had a delightful dinner with great food, great service. The keys to this great suburban restaurant are quality, consistency, and atmosphere. You can find a lively louder area closer to and in the bar — and quieter, more subdued areas in any of several back dining rooms.
