    Place was almost deserted on Thursday lunchtime. Young waiter showed us a table, we changed it several times due to blinding sun and no blinds After looking at the menu, he told us that half the items were no longer available - one had NEVER been available . The menu was changing IN A FEW HOURS, so they’d run out of stuff. Very limited choice I chose beef in red wine. Also they only had one bottle of Rose The beef was tough as hell- altho the sauce was good. I sent it back and they took it off the bill- but there was nothing else available I wanted The place is a weird mix of night club and industrial chic, can’t see it being here in 6 months

    When we placed our order we were told that two of our starter choices were not available. From a limited menu this was surprising and disappointing. For our main course we ordered burgers and they came with sweet potato chips as the kitchen had run out of traditional potato chips - we were not told this when we ordered and would not have ordered this meal had we known the chips could not be provided. One of our party ordered the beef with mushrooms and mash. It arrived without the mushrooms which were also not available but had not been advised when the order was taken. The beef was not pleasant and tasted like it had been rapidly been defrosted and cooked. For a pricy main meal this was shocking. Our overall impression was one of huge disappointment. The location is central but the Brasserie was virtually empty of customers on a Friday night - this alone should have warned us that the experience was not going to be a good one. Such a shame as the place could have been vibrant and the menu offering was easily achievable but not delivered. The very few staff members were multi tasking between the reception for the hotel; the bar and the Brasserie. The service was perfunctory and the team appeared totally unmotivated. Overall very sad for a great venue in a central location - it could be great and just hope that the management team get to sort this all out.

    I had a much enjoyed breakfast at ABode. The food was unexpectedly delicious, in contrary to the tasting menu that I had many years ago which I didn't think much of it. The staff who served me was quite pleasant and helpful. I am happy to come here again whenever I'm in Manchester city.

    Very quiet when we visited. We were on Sunday evening deal in the hotel so good value but there couldn’t have been many on the deal or there would have been more in the restaurant. Food was good and would recommend a visit.

    I am not one to usually write bad reviews, however I was just shocked at the level of service and food quality that it should be shared. We were quickly seated and provided with menus, we then ordered drinks but it seems to go downhill from there. We waited a while for a drinks and there weren’t many tables occupied at all so couldn’t understand the wait. One of the glasses on the table was chipped and water was coming out of it. When ordering food, we were told that there was no pork belly and only 2 burgers left…on a Saturday night at 5:30pm, we were shocked. Once we waited a while for our food, half the table was served and then the waiter decided to serve another table even though our food was sat in the side waiting! The beef was supposed to be served with mushrooms however there was 2 mini parts of the stalk ontop, you could barely see them. We made the waiter aware who then told us that it is supposed to look like that, considering we had another dish meal on the table this was a lie, the other dish had 3 full mushrooms on it, not a slice of the stalk. The truffle chips only had a sprinkle on Parmesan on. The lentils in the chicken were drained so the dish was watery. The burger was overcooked. We did try and tell staff but they did not want to know. At the end we receive the wrong bill. Just overall very poor food and service. Would definitely not ignore the other poor reviews, do not go.

    Service in the minus, the service was the biggest disappointment. Menu options not available, despite the restaurant requesting a pre-order. There were long delays with the food and no apology, some of our guests left without waiting for their 'pre-ordered puddings'. Staff on the day acknowledged the poor service and removed the service charge without request, but it still it doesn't excuse the poor food and overall experience our clients encountered. No compensation offered other than a bounce back opportunity, to make things right. I wouldn't be able to convince our client to return, if I paid them, which has left me further disappointed. Its a shame, as the place itself looks fantastic but, looks mean little. Will actively avoid in the future.

    De fotos op de website zien er fantastisch uit, maar in werkelijkheid ziet het restaurant er veel simpeler uit. De voorafjes waren basic, maar ok, maar de hoofdgerechten waren stuk voor stuk smakeloos en heel slecht bereid. Ook toen we er iets van zeiden was er niets aan te doen door de chef. We hebben ze niet opgegeten en de dame in de bediening gaf ook geen enkel commentaar toen we aangaven teleurgesteld te zijn. Moesten ook nog de volle mep betalen. Slechte ervaring, zou dit restaurant voor de avond zeker niet aanbevelen.

    The service is a bit more probably because the restaurant was pretty quiet. Not enough attention to the menu so have the dishes needed something because they were so dry. Little things like going to the toilet to find that the seat had fell off it’s an impressive building an impressive restaurant but doesn’t live up to us aesthetics

    Appalling. Reserved a table for 8.30pm last Saturday night and got a taxi to the restaurant to be told they had shut the kitchen at 8.30pm. They claim they tried to contact me but I had no missed calls or email. Don't patronise this restaurant as they clearly don't care about their customers
