We went to Brasserie duMonde last night. We were warmly greeted by the hostess upon entry. Shortly thereafter we were directed to our seats. The decor is French bistro. I ordered the short ribs, 2 folks ordered the lamb and another ordered the salmon. Everyone felt their meal was cooked to perfection. They have delicious cocktails and mocktails. This place is a keeper.

We went for the Dine Sacramento event, which was $45 for a set menu option. It had multiple entree options, all of which looked fabulous. Rob had the duck confit and I had a Coho salmon. The menu and wine list are fantastic! We made reservations, and I recommend that!!

Dined ere for "Dine Downtown" and ordered from special menu. The starter portions were pretty small, as often is the case with this type of event. The mains were good, though the cassoulet was salty. Desserts were tiny, but tasty. I'd give this restaurant a second look.

I asked for the Dijon vinaigrette and apparently got straight vinegar. I didn’t realize the problem until it was time to go. I had my full salad boxed ( because the “dressing” was overwhelmingly vinegar. It’s my fault that it took so long to realize the problem, but I do blame the kitchen for just pouring plain wine vinegar on my salad. The other food; pork chop, cheese plate, and chocolate dessert were excellent.

Great brunch! I had the salad Nicoise which included a healthy serving of seared ahi atop a bed of lettuce with fingerling potatoes, green beans, radish and a hard boiled egg. Delicious. My friend lived her Quiche Lorraine topped with hollandaise and served with potatoes. Service was excellent. Discount with theater tickets! And parking below the building. It’s the perfect place! Highly recommend

The place is cute and the service was good. The food was plated well but taste was awful. Ranged from either no flavor or seasonings at all to inedible.

The ambiance, competence, food knowledge of the staff, and an excellent menu (both food and wine) always meet high expectations. Recently, I had a simple lunch: a Croque Madame and some pinot noir. The pinot was very good, and the Croque Madame was as good as I have ever had. I also have had many lovely dinners at the Brasserie—a midtown favorite for me, my wife, and numerous friends.
