Brasserie la Banque is a neighborhood French restaurant nestled in historic downtown Charleston, SC. Paying homage to traditional French cuisine in a lively and welcoming environment, Brasserie la Banque celebrates life's memorable moments from impromptu drinks to convivial gatherings and leisurely meals. Led by owner and industry veteran Steve Palmer of Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the restaurant is a culmination of Palmer's work and his passion for the classic French brasserie and its cuisine. The menu features a selection of traditional French dishes alongside more innovative fare. Aptly named for its previous role as a city bank, Brasserie la Banque is located within the iconic 1 Broad Street corner building that dates back to the 1700s.

The quiche was tasty. My husband had the crab salad- large portions and had a nice taste. The hot sticky bun was a good way to end the meal.,

The burger was just ok. The steak frites was ok but sloppily presented. The French onion soup was basically inedible - burnt onions and almost all croutons. We visit often and hope it was just an off night.

Was told they had great oysters and the best truffle burger, everything was super salty and didn’t live up to the hype. Our server was also cold and completely forgot a dish.

We love La Banque. Only problem was sitting near the front door brrrrr. We loved the escargot, onion soup. And the cocktails were superb. All of our entrees were excellent Duck Burger and Beef B. Our server Morgan was charming. All good just solve the front door problem.

Excellent beef bourgingnon. And the frangipane dessert was amazing. Can’t wait to eat there again on our next visit to Charleston.
