Good choice near St Paul’s for a business meeting. Food very good (rather than exceptional) but the service made this a recommended place for business meetings.

Previously all my visits were excellent. But this time I was very unimpressed. The restaurant was quite busy but far from full. It did not get off to a good start as I had to queue for 5 minutes to get to my table. Service was friendly but I asked four times for a non-alcoholic drink and it never came. I ordered a prawn curry. Amazingly it does not come with rice. I had to ask if it came with rice and the answer was no; if I had not asked, I would not have had rice. A curry should come with rice (and not at extra expense). The curry was tasty but very mean with the number of prawns. I had to chase for the bill several times. Disappointing as it was not up to standard.

Service was very good. Tartare and harvest salad were great. One meal wasn’t prepared as described (missing 2 ingredients) and one meal came without the requested addition.

Food was really good although limited vegetarian options (particularly if you don’t like mushrooms), service generally good but not perfect, restaurant was overly warm and it felt like we were quite squashed in when elsewhere there was plenty of space.

Very noisy, with loud conversation fighting against loud music. Food was OK, service was good. Value for money so-so. All in all, not the worst place to eat, but not the best either.

Food was excellent, and our young waiter was super attentive (I liked round to get another glass of wine and he saw me and headed over from the other side of the room!). The manager who took us to the table was a bit odd though communicating with gestures rather than verbally welcoming us and asking us to follow him to the table, so not a great start, fortunately the waiter and the food recovered things.

Service was slow despite being empty on a Saturday afternoon. Asked someone who seemed for be a manager/front of house that we’d like to order and she said she’d need to get the waiter over (apparently it’s beyond a manager to take a food order). However, no waiter came and we ended up ordering from another manager. Food was average when it arrived; the fish wasn’t fresh and some of the chips were uncooked.

A good option for lunch. I had the fish and chips, crispy fish placed on top of crispy chips equals soft chips, stop it.. good ambience and service..
