For over three decades the Ashworth by the Sea on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire has enjoyed a reputation as one of the best fine dining establishments in New England.
Breakers at the Ashworth is set in the historic Ashworth by the Sea Hotel established in 1912. In a sophisticated yet casual setting with amazing views of Hampton Beach, Ashworth by the Sea celebrates the new, contemporary look of the Breakers Restaurant and Bar in Hampton Beach, NH. Convenient if you are staying at the Ashworth Hotel. Food was just average though with a limited menu. The fish and chips had lots of chips and a small amount of fish. One of our guests ordered the haddock and it was very dry. It was a quiet restaurant so it was easy to have conversation with our friends. The cocktails we ordered were not made correctly. Might be a good idea to stick to beer or wine rather than a mixed drink.

great service from Erin our waitress; terrific oysters, really delicious lobster, and very nice prime rib...and a good Bloody Mary, spicy the way i like it and the way i ordered it.

Went to dinner here with my husband this past Sunday. We were staying at the hotel and chose this restaurant mainly because it was so convenient. I had the clams with linguine and it was okay but it the sauce was a lot thicker than any other time I have had this dish. They should have given me a bowl for my shells. It was served with, what I guess, were homemade croutons that in my opinion were inedible. They were way to hard! My husband had the broiled seafood combo and thought is was okay but needed more seasoning.

The restaurant seemed to cater to an older crowd which wasn't bad since I am in my sixties. We were seated at a table that was very wet. When given a drink minute, there were no prices listed. When I asked the server, he didn't know how much they were and said they varied in price. The food was very good with large portions. The price was average-high being at the beach and in a resort hotel. The fisherman's platter was $28. Enjoyed the DJ and dancing in the rear of the restaurant starting at 8pm. All in all we had a good time and would go back.

IT WAS A DISASTER. My mother's 95th birthday lunch. We have been there before always had a nice table food good. Now I checked the menus on line all normal. Well we drove 3 hours for a very pedestrian crab shack menu. Totally different than past or the on line menu. The lunch room was a dark walk through that needed to be cleaned. So looked over the menu and I ask the hostess where is the regular menu. It really went down hill at that point. Told that was the dinner menu really been there several times at that time 1st time ever saw crab shack menu. Oh my mother can't eat fish and I am allergic to all corn products plus fish. What drove 3 hrs for what a green salad a hamburger no roll. So we got back in truck drove home through heavy traffic at 7pm that night I made Turkey sandwiches.

We had heard that the Ashworth was the best on Hampton Beach. Very disappointed with the service. Downright rude.

Food was good but my husband ordered broiled scallops and they came totally white. Waitress was very nice but drinks were slow.
