Brixton is a trendy three-level pub designed in British style. The charming ambiance of the dining area on the first floor features accents like wood paneling, leather stools and décor inspired by authentic taverns in England. Head up to the lodge on the second floor, which features mismatched furniture, brass fixtures and dim lighting. Or hang out on the rooftop terrace with two bars and the open air. Brixton is a popular spot for nightlife in DC. Although the ambiance at Brixton is exclusively British, the menu is inspired by foods from around the world. Try Thai chicken salad, miso-glazed black cod or samosas. There are some popular British dishes on the menu as well, including cheddar ale soup, roasted chicken, and fish and chips.

Good place to meet with a large group! Fish and chips were not as good as they had been in the past! We had great fun playing trivia that we did not know was happening, I will return with a group for a trivia challenge!

I went for my birthday on a Sunday because I didn't want to dine with friends in an overdcrowded, loud environment. I have passed by Brixton on a Saturday and was very intimidated by how crowded it was. If you want go there and really enjoy your friends and the atmosphere, go on a Sunday.
