    I think they must be extremely short staffed. After sitting there for 30 minutes, I asked someone if we could order drinks and she looked at us like we were aliens! LOL. Our waiter finally came and he said he had been given 5 tables, whatever that means. But over half the place was empty. Just sad! We were there for over two hours and one of us got a drink. Water never replenished, sodas after an hour, just a mess really.

    I have loved eating at this place for decades. However, the last couple of times there I feel like the value has dropped, and I was there last night and the service was not very good at all.

    First off, we were seated in the back, lower room, where the bathrooms are. It was ice cold back there. Like so cold that it was miserable to eat. We complained about it as did the table next to us. It could not have been more than 55°. Our waiter was a very strange man who barely talked to us. Family style dining meals was an OK concept, but $37 for three pieces of chicken Parmesan with no pasta was a little strange. Makes it hard when you and the person you are with want two different things. The food did taste good. But I’m not sure that we would return.

    This experience wasn’t as good as normal. They were out of the dish I wanted to order and out of straws, which was really random. The service was good, but I felt the food wasn’t quite as good as normal. I will be back though based on past experiences.

    Buca use to be our favorite place. We were celebrating our anniversary and our server while nice really rushed us. The food quality is really not what it once was. We will most likely not return and if we do it will be with low expectations. I am sad to write this review because we have had many great memories at this location in the Kansas City Plaza for years and I feel very let down.
