We are fine-casual dining with a fire at the core of its heart. Through the smoke and whiskey ashes of the previous iteration which closed its doors in 2020 rises a new haze of smoke and whiskey as we bring back this iconic brand, smoked meats, bourbon, beer, deep hues, and various spaces to a new location in the North Loop. Butcher & The Boar will honor its beloved roots, while spreading new ones in the fresh foundation that will help our guests embark on a journey with notes of nostalgia that carry the torch forward with new tastes and experiences.

With immense gratitude, we invite you to Live Full Boar with us.

We attended the Far North dinner, and we really enjoyed the event. Some of the food was a bit spicy for our midwestern liking, but all of the food was very flavorful. The ribs and grits course was the best! Of the 2 cocktails with dinner, 1 was terrific and the other (dessert pairing) was a tad odd in taste and consistency. Service was excellent, and we hope the restaurant has more such dinners next year.

Unbelieveable experience for a retirement celebration. Free appetizers and free desert to celebrate and over the top acknowledgement of the retirement. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Excellent experience! Accommodating staff that bumped our reservations back due to weather & slow travel. My clients loved the experience and my new favorite go to restaurant in downtown Minneapolis!

If you’re a steak lover, this is the place to be. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and attentive staff set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu boasts an impressive selection of perfectly aged steaks, each cooked to absolute perfection. I ordered the long rib, and it was hands-down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and tender with just the right amount of smoke and molasses. The sides were equally fantastic; the brussels sprouts, butcher baked beans, and potato cakes paired beautifully with the meal. Don’t even get me started on the dessert—their long tart was the perfect sweet finale. What sets this steakhouse apart is the attention to detail. From the quality of the ingredients to the knowledgeable staff who guided us through wine pairings, every element felt thoughtfully curated. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to a great meal with friends, this steakhouse is worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Fantastic food, service, and ambiance. Brought my boss and a coworker here and both said “this is the best flank steak I’ve ever ate.” Highly recommend, extremely cozy during the winter.

This place is phenomenal. The steak tartare was amazing, with smoked bread and a huge portion. Hot link coquettes and the special poutine - to die for. Great cocktails and fabulous service. Couldn’t have asked for more. Yummy!!
