At 5-minute walk from Trastevere station, in Monteverde district, Cafè Corrientes is the perfect meeting between Italian cuisine and warm Argentinian atmosphere. Elegant, refined but not pretentious place capable of surprising guests' eyes and throat.
The two inner rooms cuddle the customer and transport him in a completely original dimension through the assorted menu, the items of furnishing, large mirrors and vintage objects.
You can eat in the veranda where the cook cuts and grills the aged meat in customer's full view or in
the small charming outdoor terrace with exposed bricks
Taste revisited local specialities, such as pasta cacio and pepper with caramelized pears, the handmade empanadas filled with meat or smoked cheese, with the famous parsley chimichurri sauce, the meat also as knife-edge tartare, hamburgers and skewers, the daily soups (beans and
mussels/chickpeas and natural aromas) and the desserts, including the "Corrientes", a pleasure .....

    Ottimi piatti di carne serviti in maniera impeccabile, cibi particolari e non comuni. Bella l'atmosfera del locale e buon servizio al tavolo. Alla fine la gradita sorpresa di un piccolo sconto applicato sul totale. Sicuramente ci tornerò!

    An elegant and well-kept restaurant. I enjoyed the goodness of the meat, which was very tender and cooked to the right point , accompanied by various side dishes, all while drinking an excellent wine. The tables are well spaced and the service was impeccable with the staff always present but never intrusive, excellent value for money recommended!

    A very interesting discovery. High attention to details and to product quality .Excellent value for money. Kind and professional staff. I appreciated the quality of the meat (beef tartare), the appetizer (empanadas and parmigiana) and the dessert. Can't wait to be back!!!
