Located just off Sonoma Plaza, Cafe La Haye offers an appealingly unfussy sophistication. The split-level dining room holds just a dozen or so tables, but its open kitchen, raftered ceiling and walls adorned with modern art create a vibrant energy that’s contagious.
Convivial owner Saul Gropman and chef Jeffrey Lloyd make a formidable team. Lloyd, former executive chef of restaurant Michael Mina, offers a seasonal menu that’s discreet in its complexity, featuring the sort of dishes that seem to get better with each bite.

    I was looking for a special place to celebrate my husbands birthday with our son and found LaHaye off of the Sonoma Square and it looked perfect. Then I read the reviews and was even more excited to try it. And we all couldn’t have been happier. The food was incredible and everyone was so friendly. Truly a special evening.

    The ambience, service, and food at Cafe La Haye were impeccable. The dinning room, which is nicely decorated with artwork, has an intimate feel. Service was friendly and efficient. Every dish from the beef carpaccio appetizer to the Quail and Filet Mignon mains to the almond cake and chocolate silk pie desserts were amazing. We highly recommend Cafe La Haye!

    Amazing! Both food and service. Appetizers of Potato Soup and short ribs in puff pastry were delicious. Mains of filet mignon and think cut pork chop were perfectly prepared. Wine list is excellent and very fairly priced. And there’s a wonderful Reserve List if you feel like a splurge. We finished with a wonderful apple crisp. Service was perfectly coordinated, warm and caring. A must visit in Sonoma.

    Our appetizers – a little gem salad and carpaccio – and our main courses - their famous pork chop and Alaskan halibut were all delicious. We enjoyed our wine and found the service gracious. We will be back.

    Live in town . lots of choices . Always enjoy it here . The thick , perfectly cooked , pork chop is the best anywhere . Small place , but can usually get a table on week nights short notice . Menu is not large . But evrything is top notch . Very professional , freindly service .

    The service was great, but the food was just mediocre… starting with the loaf of cold, cheap tasting bread. Out of 3 different entrees, no one was impressed. So disappointing.

    Lovely place delicious food. Our server was fabulous. Only minus is that they started cleaning before we left and the noise was ridculous
