   We went in a Friday night. Dined using Tesco vouchers. On arrival was given a table in the corner pre set away from the other guests in the restaurant who were all sat in one area. We walked in at 8pm and not one single person walked in after us. Food was so disappointing We went for things We had never tried expecting flavours and was so disappointed. It was not easy to see why it was so quiet. Left at 9.20 no atmosphere I really hate writing such a bad review but clearly something is wrong here. I have been to Cafe Rouge in Birmingham and it was totally different.

   We love the mussels at Cafe Rouge where I took my husband for his birthday lunch. They were as good as on previous occasions at Basingstoke, sadly closed. Excellent Creme Brûlée too.

   Thank you to all of the staff who welcome and serve with a warmth and authenticity. We had a great time as a family, in a relaxed atmosphere with staff who were attentive but not overpowering

   Disappointed with the roast chicken I ordered- skin flabby (clearly heated not roasted) and didn't taste of very much either - chips top rate though!
