The café of the House of MEISSEN serves contemporary cuisine that is at once cosmopolitan and regionally inspired. The menu changes monthly and features Mediterranean-influenced dishes, traditional Saxon cuisine, and specialities from the region such as Meißner Winzerschinken – ham that is cured in local wines and then air-dried – and cheese from the Elbe Valley. The menu also features delicious rosé, white, and red wines from regional wineries as well as beers from local breweries. For coffee or afternoon tea, the café offers a variety of pastries and cakes, including the house speciality, Meißner Torte, featuring Meissen’s signature Crossed Swords. All dishes are served on MEISSEN porcelain.

The café is open to the general public. We ask that groups of 10 or more make reserve in advance. We are happy to prepare tailored packages for private events such as birthdays, company parties, champagne receptions, or conferences.

We arrived on time after a tour and visit to the museum and waited to be seated. Were told that we should sit down and that they would come to us. Two other couples who had not reserved tried to sit down with us at the same table! After waiting over 15 minutes and still no service or even a hello, we left and spent our money elsewhwere.

Kein gemütliches Ambiente für so eine tolle Location. Esspresso kalt, Kaffe und Kuchen nicht zusammen serviert. Kaffee war fast ausgetrunken als Kuchen kam. Aber Personal freundlich und der Kuchen und Eis geschmacklich ok

Hier empfiehlt es sich definitiv am Wochenende einen Tisch zu reservieren. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber. Leider war die Kuchenauswahl nicht üppig, dafür die Ware gut. Die Preise sind recht hoch, jedoch spiegelt sich das ja gerade überall wieder. Gerne wieder.

Vom Meissner-Porzellan zu essen ist schon etwas nicht alltägliches + freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen + rascher Service= schöner Abschluss nach den Besuch der Pozellanmanufaktur

Wir waren nach der Schauwerkstatt und dem Museumsbesuch im Café/Restaurant essen und wurden herzlich empfangen. Dank der Online Reservierung bekamen wir einen hübsch eingerichteten Tisch inkl. Kinderstuhl und durften es uns schmecken lassen. Natürlich wurde alles im bzw. auf Meißner Porzellan serviert. Der Service war sehr freundlich, flott unterwegs und hat trotz der vielen Besucher einen kühlen Kopf bewahrt. Für unseren Besuch war es eine gelungene Abrundung. Wir kommen gern wieder :-)

Die Bedienung hat uns dreimal nicht das gebracht, was wir bestellt hatten : zuerst kam mein Salat ohne dem Fetakäse und die Oliven, die laut Karte darauf gehörten, dann wurde ein Stück Kuchen bestellt, aber es war nicht der gewünschter Kuchen, nachdem der gewünschter Kuchen ein 2. Mal in der Vitrine gezeigt wurde, kam doch ein anderer auf den Tisch. Wir haben es dann sein lassen. Und die Pasta war leider zu weich gekocht. Schade, denn wir waren so begeistert von der ManufakTour, dass wir dieses Gefühl gerne bis an dem Tisch genommen hätten.

Wir haben einen Geburtstag gefeiert. Der Tisch war liebevoll geschmückt. Der Ausblick über die Stadt ist traumhaft und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Vielen Dank!

War nach unserer Besichtigungstour durch die Manufaktur ein wunderbarer Abschluss unseres Besuchs in der Meissner Porzellanfabrik. Nur gut, dass wir im Vorfeld reserviert hatten. Wir hätten ansonsten keinen Platz bekommen.
