   Wonderful time for a birthday tea with grand niece! They treated us to a small glass of bubbles (non alcohol for the grand niece) and a lovely BD brownie with candle! Great service, ambience and food!

   We came across this restaurant by accident, just because our hotel was nearby. Food is exquisite and very reasonable priced for the quality and the atmosphere We got fish and chips, the rib eye, the ahi poke and the banana dessert ( to die for). It should be a must stop for everyone going to San Diego Portions are very generous, you will not go home hungry The only regret I have is thar we were too full to order the sticky pudding Next time!!!

   The front service was excellent as usual. The drinks were good. We ordered hanger steak, fish and chips for dinner. The fish and chips were tasty, and so was the hanger steak. Though the side dish on the steak might need some work. The banana cake was delicious, and it was a great portion to share.

   English breakfast spread is absolutely delicious. The fish and chips are a standout - incredibly flaky & tender . Plus service is outstanding thanks to our amazing server Sam D, thanks . Ambiance is classy & welcoming & sets the tone for the meal. Overall, it was an exceptional Sunday brunch experience . I will definitely come back for their lunch/dinner menu. Highly recommend .

   Fun, modern ambiance. Nice outdoor area with a lawn for kids to play at. Drinks were great. Service was great. Food was good, but not the best. Maybe I’m just not an English food fan.

   Love the Scotch Egg, the meat pie and the fish and chips! Best dessert is the sticky toffee pudding.

   I met my friend for tea time and it was amazing. I just wish there were more sandwich selections and that the water remained piping hot. Otherwise, it was a perfect Sunday afternoon in a posh, quiet setting with friendly service. Will be back with other friends and family!

    We had a Tea Time experience, and it was absolutely wonderful. The bits and bobs offered are primarily sweet, but there were two savory options: a curried chicken and spinach cream cheese sandwich (uncrustibles style! Fun) We also added the truffle cheese sandwich which reminded us of French Onion soup, and it was very delicious. Every experience we've had at California English has been wonderful.
