    Once again, the food at Canoe House was excellent with great specials (unique duck dish and pan-sauteed Opakapaka) and their awesome grilled whole lobster with miso butter and finger lime plus very good side dishes of local mushrooms and garlic fried rice. The only thing somewhat limited is the dessert menu. It's important to note that prices are significant at Canoe House, but worth it in our opinion. Surprisingly, service was a bit slow and our server distracted, not what we have experienced for prior visits.

    Setting obviously unparalleled. Server made fantastic recommendations. The menu featured local ingredients (esp seafood). Food was delicious.

    Fantastic service that really was a standout - super knowledgeable and made us excited about the food. The atmosphere cannot be beat - beautiful oceanfront, with cool indoor/outdoor vibe. We loved most of our food - but gave it 4/5 because much was very salty (green bean tempura almost indelible w the salt) and buttery/heavy, and the prices are outrageous. It’s an expensive area so that was expected, but even the vegetable based apps and sides are very expensive and in our opinion not worth it. Whole lobster was great and perfect entree to split.

    The menu was very appetizing. The food was great. Service was prompt, courteous, high end. Keep in mind that you will be outdoors and most nights cool weather clothing is appropriate.

    Lovely venue with ocean views. The fire pits were a nice treat and the waiters also were able to provide scarfs and small blankets/towels to keep us warm. The food was great and servers did a great job recommending what to eat and attentive to our large group!

    Canoe House offers an outstanding experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the elegant and understated polynesian ambiance. Our meal was outstanding, and I would highly recommend Tempura Green Beans, Garlic Fried Rice, and the Apaname cocktail to name a few. Given the high price points, this is a special occasion restaurant, but fully delivers on that promise. A local said it is his "favorite restaurant on the Island".
