   Excellent service. The food was ok for the price that justify the location and the cleanliness of the place though. We we were three people and were given a table on the way to the bathrooms…that influenced my evaluation of the ambience, but other tables were better located.

   Very good menu with focus on seafood and pizza. We had flat iron steak and seafood pasta, both were delicious.

   It was a nice meal before the theatre, but nothing memorable that I would specifically go back for. Had a Harvest Cosmo and my daughter an iced tea. Both were good. We then each had a Caesar salad and split a margarite pizza. Salad was good - fresh, plentiful and the right amount of dressing. Nothing wowed me though. Pizza was ok. Honestly had many better pizzas elsewhere but there was nothing wrong with it. For dessert I had the cannoli and a coffee, my daughter the Affogato. Mine was fantastic, hers was very nice. We left content and with full stomachs - just not wowed. I did find tables squeezed in a bit too tightly for my liking - and we also had the misfortune to sit near the counter where the pizza’s are being made…listening to the slamming of the pizza pan and dough be slammed repeatedly against the counter all night before being put into the oven was annoying. Talking to the couple that were (a bit uncomfortably) close beside us, we remarked on how we might all be leaving with a headache. Server was friendly, was a bit surprised we weren’t offered fresh ground pepper for salad..not sure if we were missed or it’s just not offered. Would have no issue eating there again, however if I was picking I’d probably look around a bit.

   It's unfortunate when your waiter is a complete snob and makes you feel uneasy during a night out. The hostess was wonderful, the food was great, the overall feel of the restaurant was lovely. The management needs to review the staff and weed out the people on the team who don't want to be there. Good luck with your business!

   Love Cantina Mercatto on Wellington in Toronto! I have been a loyal customer for years! Food and service are great. Only “less than perfect” element for me is the noice level is too high.

   The staff and food were amazing as always! Came here for a bday and got lots of shareables. Our favs were the pep pizza (ask for honey to drizzle), the burrata and the ravioli.

   All five of us in our group really enjoyed our meals - five different entrees (pepperoni pizza, steak, arctic char, and two pasta dishes).

   We had a wonderful server who took great care of us. I appreciate that they put us in a little section vs out in the open. I had been asking for a quiet area so that was great!!! Thank you for the wonderful service!

   Service was super friendly. spacious sitting in bright room. Food was very tasty. Portions were ok for what you paid for (my opinion). Will definitely go back.

    Cantina Mercatto provides a fine dining experience, with sumptuous dishes and attentive wait staff. I am very pleased with our Valentine’s dinner, and look forward to visiting again when next in Toronto.
