We went for Valentine's Day dinner and had a very nice dinner. There was only one server in our section and he was working as hard as he could; but just could not be everywhere at the same time.

Waitstaff was overwhelmed even though restaurant only half full. Hotel full so maybe this was due to room service, but should have staffed appropriately for full hotel.

We ended up not even eating at the restaurant. This was not even a real restaurant. It was what looked like the continental breakfast area in a hotel. Very disappointing to say the least. Not the ambiance or experience we were looking for.

Good options, well prepared usual choices in salad, entree, wine by the bottle or glass. At King St Alexandria metro, so a chance to walk the historic streets. Quibble: too brightly lit! Get a rheostat people!

Stayed at the Embassy Suites for 6 nights. The first night we ate at Caprese, but there was a special event taking up the whole restaurant so we were seated on the patio. That was okay, because it was a beautiful October evening. The flatiron steak was on the chewy side, but the vegetables were fine. My husband had shrimp fettucini and thought it was okay, but not great. We were the only diners on the patio, so the service could have been better as I think we were overlooked. Tried to go back the next night to see if we'd have better luck, but again, another special event, so we went around the corner to Joe Theissman's restaurant, and ate there 4 more times before leaving Alexandria! Overall, I can't give a very good review for Caprese, as our experience was not very positive. Prices were too high for what we got.

Capers is located in the Embassy Suites hotel right by the King Street metro station, making it the ultimate in convenience. It was very quiet on our weeknight trek to celebrate a birthday with a light dinner and a piece of cake. Once the waiter heard what we were there for, he went out of his way to give a special experience... chocolate decadence cake, with sprinkles and a candle. They get a big A-plus for the effort.

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend. The food was very good and we really enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine with two entres.

This is not a Mediterranean restaurant. This is a mostly American restaurant inside a hotel. Misleading info. This place should not be on Opentable.

The food here is unbelievably good. small menu, but very good. try the calamari, taste fresh. at the bar Aiden always remembers what you drink and your name not sure how he does it. the manager, Fred, always makes you feel like a long lost relative. not sure how they do this, but they are awesome. They have half price appetizers during happy hour. so my calamari was only $6. it was so good I ordered another. unfortunately, I couldn't eat two. a case of my eyes are bigger than my stomach. again a great neighborhood find
