My name is Vincenzo Porcu as my grandfather, Vincenzo Porcu, who owned two restaurants in Sardinia. I come from Sinnai, a small town in the mountains of Cagliari. I've been working in the restaurant business since I was 14.

The idea of visiting America first came to me when I was 22. Since then, I have been back and forth to NY many times until I decided to stay in LA, where I was able to have many work experiences. It was during a vacation in 2005 to Los Angeles, that ultimately persuaded me to make this my new home. I love Los Angeles and, in some ways, it reminds me of Sardinia. After working for a large family of restaurateurs, the Drago family, 4Sicilian brothers who have many places in this town, I decided to open my Carasau Sardinian Restaurant in Culver City.

Good was okay, ravioli portions are fairy small. There were only two other tables when we were there, food was prepared quickly and fresh but servers were slow. We requested lemons for our water and never received. We’re told an extra basket of bread was $3.50 but we were charged $6.00. Id certainly try other options before returning.

Food was good. I took some colleagues and a client there for lunch and everyone was pleased. Easy parking in the public lot not too far away. Otherwise, street parking is difficult to find.

We had a fantastic experience at Carasau! Our waiter, Nicolo, was exceptional. He was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for throughout our meal. His warm and welcoming demeanor added a special touch to our evening. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend dining here!

We sat outside and the waiter did not come out to see us for the first 20 minutes. After he finally came out and we put our order in, he never came back to check in on us. We finished our food and sat another 15 minutes until the hostess had to bring us our check. The food was bleh and we were starving so that reaction is probably an overstatement. It was quite pricey and not worth it.

This was our first time to CARASAU, but it won't be our last. The ambience was very pleasant with soft lighting. The noise level was very low. Our waitress was, Fong, the restaurant manager. Very professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive. She came several times to check on us, see how things were and to hear what we thought of our meal. We started out with a shared Caesar salad. Fresh crisp lettuce with light dressing and freshly shaved cheese. Very nice. For dinner, my wife had the shrimp linguini with lobster sauce. She loved it. I got the Cioppino which, I must say, was one of the best that I've ever had. The seafood was plentiful and very fresh, the carrots and celery had a nice crunch, and the broth had a deep/bright flavor, not salty, and with a hint of garlic. Wow. I noticed that at one side of the restaurant was a separate room for private events. 'Good to note for the future! This is my new go-to restaurant for Sardinian food in Downtown Culver City.

Energetic is the wrong word. Painfully loud is better. Waiter was clueless. Kept walking past our table without a glance. Chef was busy flirting with a nearby table. I’ll be back. But will sit outside next time.

Great experience!! First time diners along with friends and we all enjoyed our time and food at Carasau. Tucked away in downtown Culver City, Carasau has private parking with security. The food was prepared and displayed with love and quickly. As fast as the food was delivered, it was devoured.

The Cornish game hen is one of my top five favorite dishes of any restaurant in Los Angeles. The vegan cauliflower soup is also delicious

Carasou never disappoints. The food and service are always very good. The fettuchini in saffron cream sauce with scallops was perfectly comforting and delicious on a chilly fall evening.
