Service was phenomenal. But the Agnolotti didn’t really have much lobster at all. The plain mashed potatoes were pretty bland and very little of the reduction was available to improve them. The people at the adjacent table were talking loudly into the speaker phone. It just wasn’t a $200 experience.

It was a crazy day being Easter but staff was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately they ran out of plates so there were longer lines at the buffet lines waiting for plates. We were there later in the brunch but each time we went to buffet there were few or no plates. We were able to eat finally but the plate issue was an inconvenience for many.

You seriously overbooked for today's Easter brunch. We arrived on time and seated at a table with the second hand water glasses and piecemeal silver. (Not really looking to drink out of beer mugs on Easter Sunday or any day at Carmellos.) Food very picked over and not refreshed in a timely fashion. Fried Mozzarella sticks were dry and cold. Baked Ziti, also not hot, not event the refreshed portion. Plates, when available, were too hot to handle. And the desserts, not very attractive or enticing. No cheesecake or chocolate treats??? I can buy those same eclairs at Costco, thank you. On the plus side, the omelet my son ordered was excellent, as well as most of the other breakfast foods. And our sever did his best, very attentive and friendly, despite the huge crowd of guest and limited resources. Sorry to be so blunt, but we made our reservations 4 weeks ago, and really expected much better food and atmosphere. Our family doesn't get together often and my husband and I wanted to give the "best', which is why I booked Carmellos.

Carmello should have done a Pre-fix menu vice buffet for Easter. Normally the foos is excellent. Easter Brunch had great food options, however the kitchen could not keep up with the demand . The food was lukewarm with exception to the carving ,waffle and omelet stations. Several options were empty while kitchen staff struggled to keep up. Some patrons exhibited rude behavior based on the situation leading to an unpleasant experience. Our waiter Xavier, was excellent as usual and apologized profusely for the confusion. Normally a great dining option. Just not for Easter Buffet.

They were lovely. Thanked us for coming multiple times. There were complimentary drinks to start off with. Wait staff was attentive, but not intrusive. The food was very good. I will go back.

Our dinner at Carmello's was exceptional. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Our server, Danny, went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The Cioppino was hearty and bountiful. The Salmao Fiorentina was delicious - pan seared salmon with crab and asparagus. The surprise birthday dessert was a delight.

This restaurant is a quiet gem in Old Town Manassas. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Because my friend and I did not have big appetites we opted for appetizers, soup and dessert. I had sautéed scallops on truffle fried fresh asparagus, shiitake mushrooms and a cauliflower chicken soup followed by a delicious crème brûlée. My friend had jumbo shrimp stuffed with salmon and crab with a Sambuca romana sauce and cold bean salad, tomato bisque and New York cheesecake. Both were excellent meals, perfectly prepared and plated. As someone with Celiac, there were several excellent options on the menu and the wait staff seemed very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend this delightful dining spot.
