Carrabba’s Italian Grill is an Italian Restaurant founded by Johnny Carrabba and Damian Mandola in Houston, Texas in 1986. Offering authentic Italian cuisine passed down from our founders' family recipes, Carrabba's uses only the best ingredients to prepare fresh, made-to-order dishes cooked to order in a lively exhibition kitchen. Featuring a wood-burning grill inspired by the many tastes of Italy, guests can enjoy signature dishes, including Chicken Bryan, Pollo Rosa Maria, Wood-Fire Grilled Steak, and classic Italian Pasta dishes in a welcoming, contemporary atmosphere.

    We had reservations and arrived on time to have the staff tell us we would move to the top of the waiting list although several other tables were seated before us. Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient and our food arrived quickly and in the correct sequence. The bread and oil with spices was refilled on request and the food was a great value for the price. We were all pleased with our visit.

    Always a good meal. Nice and hot when served. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Got 3 $10 to go meals for tomorrow.

    I could not say what the food etc would have been like. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation and was told there would be 1-1/2 hour wait. I explained we had reservations and they apologized and said they were still taking walk-ins. We left and will not be going back.

    Bartender was wonderful our waitress was amazing the owner was very involved and caring and the food was amazing. Downside call ahead was missed and the hostess has no business being in a customer service industry. One hiccup on a busy night.

    When we arrived they said Open Table Reservations only put you on a list, not guarantee a seating time. Had to wait 30 min and we left. Hostess very unfriendly

    After making our booking, we arrived 10 minutes before the time and were told that they really don't use "Open Table." The hostess said "the manager might get a notice but when they are busy they are not alerted at the counter." The hostess staff apologized and vowed to get us in as fast as possible. So, we waited 45 minutes beyond our chosen time. The food was ok. Not as good as it had been upon previous visits. It was a Friday night and they were very busy. I would recommend it with some new qualifiers.

    The dinner was excellent. We took advantage of the $10 meals to take home. The atmosphere is always nice. The restaurant was very noisy and that they had a wine dinner going on.

    FYI: we booked via Open Table and our Reservation was not honored. We were told that “we’ll put you on the wait list” which was a 30 minute wait. Food was good and the server was good but the Hostess was anything but nice. Not sure how Open Table will handle this issue.
