About this restaurant

  • Charming
  • Romantic
  • Good for special occasions
Carriage House is American classics with intercontinental flair. It’s Cheeseburgers and Pomme Pave. It’s Lobster Chiterra and Spam Confit Croquettes. Nothing is too casual, nothing is too sophisticated, and everything is next level good. See our latest menu here.

Our building was a Carriage House for police horses in the early 1900s. The Chef's Room to the back door is the original footprint, which over time, has been built outwards to the current street and the facade we know now. The first business to occupy the space was, in fact, a bar in the early 1940s.

Food, ambiance and service were great. The candle lit butter and rolls are an impressive start. Highly recommend for either a date night or dinner with friends.

Felt understaffed, but the burger was a menu highlight.

We enjoyed our evening at the Cardiage House. Our only surprise disappointment is that the menu on their website apparently is over a year old so what we thought we were going to order we couldn’t. However, the food we did get to order was still delicious. Drinks were great and the pan de Sal (pull apart bread) was a highlight as well as the burger and side of fries which came with both Mayo and Ketchup to dip. We ordered the Sambal chicken and it was just ok. We were told it was a half chicken but only a quarter piece came out and the seasoning/marinade was so light if it was on there you couldn’t taste any of the ingredients described in the menu. I did have a suggestion. We included in our reservation that this was a special date night and it was acknowledged via Opentable. I half expected there to be a surprise at the restaurant or a dish from the chef but alas nothing. For an added personal experience that would have been nice.

Not the same menu as online. Food was meh. Bread was the best part. We were the only table in the restaurant. Server was friendly and lovely.

Carriage House NYC is a stunningly designed space with an inviting, open atmosphere. The food is absolutely phenomenal—every dish showcases a perfect balance of bold, flavorful, and well-executed Filipino cuisine. The pork and beef lumpia were cooked to absolute perfection, and the shaved Brussels sprouts with orange segments and Calabrian vinaigrette were beautifully balanced, enhancing the natural flavors of the Brussels sprouts. The entrées, including the adobo and sambal chicken, were masterfully prepared—how did you make the sambal chicken not taste overly spicy while still packing such incredible depth of flavor? Everything was truly magnificent. Chef Jordan Andino is elevating Filipino cuisine to new heights with modern creativity and impeccable execution. A must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience!
