    I had lunch in Andover location today and everything was perfect! Food is always delicious, great presentation, attentive waiter and decorated beautifully for Christmas! Carson's is my favorite restaurant in Lexington!

    We placed our order about 8 for 5 dishes & it took an hour to come . My husband ordered a sweet tea & received that with his food . Never had an apology or anything. . We rarely saw Blake our server . We had to ask for refills . Just not a good experience. I will not be back

    The only issue is that I took my husband for his birthday, and while I saw 2 other people get free birthday icecream treats, we did not. Both the hostess and our server both told him happy birthday when they greeted him ( I had put the occasion in the Open Table notes), but no suprise icecream came. I wasn't about to look silly and ask for it, but I know he saw other people get them and was probably disappointed.

    Due to the holiday season, they were very busy. It was noisy too. We had to get our server’s attention for coffee refills, and the first depot our food was someone else’s. When our food arrived, there were a few things wrong, but we chose to keep what was brought, as they were not major issues.

    If you want an Old Fashioned and a good steak, there are better options close by. The Old Fashioned was basically straight bourbon with an orange peel and cherry. Straight bourbon is fine, but when you order an Old Fashioned you expect some different flavors. The steak was cooked to the right temperature, it just had no flavor. The truffle fries were just fries with parmesan cheese on it. This is only the second time going there. First time was when they first opened.

    Unfortunately, this was our worst Carson’s experience. Upon arrival, we were bombarded with a pungent maple candle smell that continued through the entire restaurant. It was so over powering, it burned our eyes and noses. When we asked the waiter about it, he informed us that multiple candles were but burning around the restaurant and agreed that it was overly strong. He said he would inquire about extinguishing some of them, which I think did happen, but it was too late. We even noticed that he seemed to be sinus-irritated while taking our order. The food there is fabulous, please don’t mask it with horridly strong candle scents.
