   I think it was an extremely busy night with valentines night. Kitchen and bar was extremely backed up took 40 mins by the time we were seated until we got our drinks. Total time for 3 course meal was 2.5hrs. I don’t think Carve staffed correctly for this busy of a night!! However food was great, but other restaurants of this caliber offer a seamless evening where their staff doesn’t seem scrambled and stressed out!! Will try again for breakfast or brunch but will not repeat for dinner.

   Everything was wonderful, more acid for tuna tartar. Wife’s veggies slightly undercooked. Ribeye was awesome, squash bisque was to die for! Tart dessert was very good as well. Enjoyed the vast list of whiskeys. A beautiful restaurant and resort, definitely elevating Campbell River as a city.

   This is another time I was served by Aundy, and another experience that did not disappoint. She started off by remembering me and my drink order, and was familiar and friendly. Very informative about the menu and provided great recommendations. She was pleasant for conversation and regularly came by to check on us and ensure our placements were always perfect. I plan to come back many more times in the future and look forward to seeing Aundy again. Many thanks!

   Service was slow and the salt levels on a few of the dishes was bordering on too salty

   The noise was that 5 (5-7) year old boys walking ( running) thru restaurant to go out patio doors to run around . Several blasts of freezing cold air each time patio doors were opened after8 pm as we were still eating. One had a plastic hockey stick . They weren’t even eating in restaurant. You should maybe consider an age restriction on dinner times especially coming into the lounge/ dining areas . It sure takes away the nice ambiance and fine dining experience with kids (infants) . Something like 12 years and older after 7 pm kind of thing for sitting down in restaurant would be appropriate I’d think? Vijay was our server and was awesome and right on it all night to make sure we were looked after . as the other servers were as well . I’m not an old fuddle dutty (60 years old ) and have adult kids myself so have been a parent with young kids in the passed but took them to appropriate places to eat . I’m sure we will be back as we like to support local businesses. Thankyou .
