Overall, our experience was very good. The food was incredible. There is no parking right near the restaurant so keep that in mind as there is some walking required. Also, our server was okay, but not very attentive. We had to specifically ask for things like napkins, refills, and to order dessert which was surprising since restaurants usually try to upsell. We liked that they didn’t come around too often, but basic attentiveness would’ve been great. Also, the person who brought most of our food to the table would come around and take plates right from under us even if we still had food on them. It would’ve been nice to be asked before taking things away.

Everything was awesome. Tried the steak, mushroom and shrimp (on a flour tortilla instead of the lettuce wrap) tacos. Service was great and drinks were very good. If you get a chance stop by this location and experience everything they have to offer!

Casa Del Barco is good, but a little overpriced. You are paying for the location. Our service was excellent and the food was good, but it is more expensive than most Mexican restaurants in the area.

I wanted to take my friend out for an early birthday celebration somewhere that was festively decorated for the season. After being unable to make a reservation at my first 5 choices, I ended up at Casa Del Barco Riverfront. I made a 7pm reservation for a Monday night. When we arrived (first off, the parking was a little confusing and we didn't know how to get into the building, but we figured it out), the decor was festive, but the sign 'Tinsel & Tequila' was missing some letters, so that should have been our first clue that this was going to go badly. We waited at the host stand for just a quick minute, before someone walked by, looked at us, and carried on. She came back around the corner and asked if we had been helped, I replied no, and she grabbed 2 menus. She asked if it was just us 2, and I replied, I actually made a reservation, but yes just 2. And she immediately knew my name without looking it up (so that made me think there were no reservations for the night if you knew my name that quickly-again possible red flag). We walked into the dining room and there were 2 tables occupied, and 2 people sitting at the bar. We were seated, and she said she would be back with waters. We waited probably a solid 15 before she came back to take our drink orders, then another 15-20 so we could order a starter, and then another 30 before she took our entree order. Our 7pm reservation was now closer to 8:45 before we got our dinner. Granted, we were having a great time chatting and catching up, but it just felt off for such a slow night. Our server spent most of the night cleaning/sweeping. At 9:25, we've been done, just waiting & and scanning for the server to get our check. I finally flag her down and get checked out around 9:45. I'm a CdB fan, usually at the Short Pump location, so I'm just taking this one as a no-go on this location moving forward. The food/drinks were great, but slow service will keep me away.

The Tinsel & Tequila cocktails were some of the best I’ve had for a Christmas pop-up menu, well prepared and much more enjoyable than other restaurants in Richmond. The empanadas were fresh and hot, and we loved the Casa Crunch Burrito. I recommend a stop by for happy hour at the bar, or for dinner before a night out with friends.
