   We had such an amazing experience with John last night at Catch. He was so knowledgeable and hospitable; definitely recommending to friends and returning!!

   Had a dinner with a few friends to celebrate my recent engagement. From the get-go, pretty standoff-ish energy. We were a group of 4 and waiting on 1 who was running late. I understand that typically restaurants have a set amount of time allotted per party, but they refused to let the 3 of us sit down and order drinks/appetizers until the 4th person got there, A couple girls also brought small gifts to celebrate and we were told that we couldn't bring any gift bags to the table and would have to leave them with the host- but they didn't even give a tag or anything to reference to pick them back up and we almost forgot them leaving. Speaking of which- I had a friend who had gone the NIGHT BEFORE to Catch Dallas with her Husband for his birthday and he was opening up large gifts (ie: shoes) so not sure why we were told we couldn't bring ours that were half the size. Lastly, the server forgot some drinks and despite telling her 3x that we were not there for a birthday but for an engagement, we kept being told happy birthday. Food was good, experience was not and will not be coming back.

   Nice but way too expensive! A meal for too @ $350! No bottle of wine… each glass of Sauvignon @$29 … food is good but I’ve had better for less. I will not return

   Food was great, but we only saw our server that the beginning when he gave us a run down of the menu and then again when he was asking us if we had “room for desert”. In between those times, we had to flag down another server to get our order taken after our original server disappeared from our table, but was helping others around us. No check in when the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round of plates came from the food runners, no check in for another round of drinks (which we order through the same server we flag down to take our order). Nothing until the end. He did stop by to take something off of our table to help clear it, but said no words at all. We ordered a round of oysters, two sushi rolls, 3 small plates, and 2 rounds to drinks, none of which was from the original server. I have two starts for service, only because a manager came by afterwards and asked how everything was and we let him know that server didn’t check in at all with us. He gave us two rounds to drinks at the bar to make up for the lack of service, that is the only reason for the two star ratings on service. Food was god, but wouldn’t come again as Dallas has good food everywhere basically, along with much better service. I usually have more grace as someone who has worked in the food industry, but this was abhorrent considering he lost his mind and gave us no further attention when a larger table came. Not even a single check in.

   The service was very pretentious. Our party felt ignored if you aren’t an “important” person in Dallas - the waiter was great but the other service professionals walked around very haughty. I was expecting more but overall it was decent - nothing out of the ordinary and nothing was impressive. We would recommend Nuri over Catch any day.

   It was a vibe. I brought 5 teenagers to celebrate my daughters 17th birthdaty, Everything was amazing, delicious and on point. Wish I remembered my servers name, she was on point. I liked this catch better then NYC catch. Great variety of items on the menu. Will return

   The restaurant in itself was amazing. Love that it had two floors and two bars. The noise level is/was extremely high. My girlfriends and I had to basically yell at one another in order to hear what one was saying. The food was great but in my opinion overpriced.

    This is an excellent dining experience - Dallas is lucky to have a Catch location. We got the oysters and the Shishito peppers. They were excellent (oysters were a normal size even though they said they’d be tiny, and were very good in flavor and texture). We got the MRC sushi roll for the table and had to order a second one because it was so good (I can’t put into words how good the sushi was we could come here and just get that). We got two of the crunchy rice cakes and two of the baked king crab hand rolls which were excellent. My partner got the New York Strip with wasabi butter which was a phenomenal add on I do recommend super unique and not very spicy. I got the wagyu fried rice and it was out of control. Dessert of Pistachio cheesecake and coconut milk ice cream was excellent as well. This is a return venue for us which is rare because Dallas has so many good restaurants constantly opening we almost never vow to return to a place but Catch will bring us back.
