   Ordered tte pasta with grilled prawns which were prawns fir a fried rice very small and the pasta was very uncooked and I sent it back and walked out terrible

   This was a very disappointing Christmas lunch, we had a table of 18. There was no atmosphere , no special effort made on decorating the place other than the table and a Christmas tree, the music you could barely hear and the food tasted all pre cooked and not fresh. This was the opinion of most of our guests, we have been going to the casino the last few years and they do so much of a better job I was very disappointed and won't be having Christmas there again or recommending the Hilton for Christmas to family and friends

   Amazing food,seafood platter fresh an inventive, not just fried like others, The two witnesses where great but needed some direction an training, they tried but where flustered an could not even keep up with a quiet restaurant, no management in sight until she called for help to sort the bill out, Last visit was when it was salt grill, Amazing service and food then but was packed out an busy, Catch restaurant has great food but nobody Was there, everyone I brought was a local an didn't know it existed, some local deal on the deal diner app or radio adverts are needed, Will definitely return again but not in a hurry with so much choice on the coast,

   Lower your expectations in terms of food and service. The rest of Hilton Hotel is no better. Same as other bad reviews - food is bland, service is paltry.

   Went for their valentines dinner, had a set menu with a complimentary cocktail on arrival. It was $79pp for a 3 course meal. Arrived and were seated and cocktails arrived with a few minutes. Ordered entree, main and dessert all at the same time. Got our entree after 40 minutes of waiting with the restaurant under half full, quite surprising. Partners entree was luke warm however mine was ok. Waiters had left food on the tables of other diners and had not cleared them for at least 30 minutes, keep in mind the restaurant was not busy and this should have been a priority considering the service you would expect. When our mains arrived, it was quite disappointing as the chicken curry meal we had ordered was by no means a curry or even curry sauce. There was a splash of sauce on the dish and it was overall dry and flavourless. We informed the waiter and they were very apologetic and offered other mains for free, we declined. Waited it out for dessert which was ok, but didn’t make up for the rest of the dining experience. Finally went to pay and we were looked after by the staff due to our dining experience, it was clear that almost everyone had complained or was not happy that night and the staff were doing their best to make it up. Unsure what would’ve been if the restaurant had been at max capacity as it was clear they struggled with the small amount of diners that they had. I would not rave about this restaurant by any means, just grateful the wait staff and management were understanding of the situation and event that it was.

    There are no words to describe our disappointed. A table of 11 people, not a 4.5 star restaurant. Had to ask for the children menu. Overpriced and under seasoned food. A seafood plater for $120 that did not even look appetising when it arrived. Scallops were burnt, barramundi was dry, salt n pepper squid was oily, not seasoned, no lemon to even squeeze on the seafood platter. Didn't receive the watermelon salad to accompany it either. Singapore chilli crab - hope your prepared to crack the crab with your hands. Not even cracked to be able to eat, flavourless, it had to be sent back to be cracked by the chef cause they dont even have claw crakers to get into the dish. Flavourless. Pastas bland, the smallest serving of mayo given with chips maybe a table spoon at best. The best part of the evening was the deserts. Excellent cheese platter and creme brulee. I think the chefs need to taste there food before sending out to ensure that it is at least seasoned. The surf clubs and RSL clubs serve a better seafood plater for half the price than we were charged. Certainly will not be retuning or recommending this establish to anyone. H Daniels.
