We had a lovely late Mother's Day dinner here last night. The food was fantastic, and the setting was beautiful. Our server Vlada was perfection, and the valet who took our car was friendly and accommodating.

We have been waiting two years to have Mother’s Day tea at Cedar and Elm. Finally, we were able to get reservations just to find out they put us in the basement not in the actual cedar in the Elm beautiful restaurant that started the whole experience off badly. The tower that they use is so large you can’t see someone across the table from you. There were not very many options of tea to have I think five. On a positive note the staff was very attentive and friendly. Also, they came around with extra scones and crumpets, which were excellent all in all we will not come back because of the ambience so sad to be in the basement for my Mother’s Day.

I prefer to write to the restaurant to tell them what a disappointment their “Mothers Day Brunch” was.

This was my 4th visit for brunch. The food was subpar. The croissants were dry and bland. I ordered the vegetarian frittata, but it had several pieces of sausage in it (despite being reassured it was veg). Servers were kind but harried. Ambience is lovely, but I’ll stick to oatmeal next time.

Food and service were great with delicious brunch options served by friendly staff. We attended the Mother’s Day brunch and had our 4 month old with us in a stroller but upon arriving, we had to carry the stroller up some stairs. There were also no mother friendly nursing options which seems odd as the occasion is to celebrate Mother’s Day.

The portions were very small except for the kids plate which was huge! The service and hospitality were a very solid 5 star! The value was fair due to small portions, limited menu and lack of traditional comfort food staples like mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, creamed spinach etc…

Our first visit to Cedar & Elm. Let me start with the pros: Great food, great service. Love the entire property of the Lodge. Cons: Hotel restaurant, so we were surrounded by families with young children sitting on plastic boosters seats, screaming and throwing chicken nuggets and fries all over the floor. We arrived dressed nicely, so we felt quite awkward. being around everyone dressed in jeans. t-shirts and sweatshirts. Thankfully, by 7:00 PM the children had mostly cleared out and nicely dressed couples and groups arrived (all adults). So I guess the lesson is to make a reservation later. Then it will feel more like a high-end, classy restaurant.

This was the first time we ate at Cedar + Elm for brunch. My husband was very happy with the Lodge Benedict. The cheese biscuit and onion jam were nice complements to the pork and poached egg. I had the French toast- one very large piece of bread which is plenty. The toast was mildly sweet and I was happy with the level of sweetness. We also had a side of bacon to share and tried the Lavender and Sage latte. We will definitely be back to try different items on the food and coffee menus.
