   Very much enjoyed the experience eating in an atmosphere that sends you back in time. The food was excellent, using root vegetables, mushrooms and organic meats. Excellent desserts unique for this restaurant. We will ho back.

   This was our first time and we fully enjoyed our experience. The venue is beautiful. The menu was minimal but excellent options and well prepared. Definitely a return trip is in order!

   It was our first time at Cedar + Elm and what a really lovely experience. The ambiance was cozy, warm and romantic. The brunch menu is simple and delicious. I love that they have a great selection of lattes as well! This place is perfect for a date or a celebration! It’s hidden in a state park, so you can also plan to do a little “urban” hike while you’re here! This place is quintessential PNW vibes.

   We had a quiet Wednesday lunch here. What was good ... An intriguingly curated cocktail menu - we wanted to try them all! The best fries we have ever had - seriously! Worth the visit just to try them. My wife had an outstandingly good Wagyu beef burger. Service was excellent - Jorge is a star! Ambience - it's an airy open restaurant in the lodge and of course in a beautiful setting. What was moderate ... I had a a cauliflower steak with mushrooms and a cauliflower / mushroom puree. It was good, but just a little bland. I'd have liked a dash of something sharp / spicy to add some lift, but then I do like a kick in my lunch. Nevertheless it was good and nicely prepared and presented. And nothing bad at all. An excellent lunch and good value too. Definitely going again, but I may watch the menu for changes in the vegetarian option.

   The tea was lovely. Each item was beautifully presented. Live music was a treat. I wish there had been a difference in the sandwiches besides filling. Everything was a two bite item and I’ve never walked away from tea and still could eat more until now.

   While I'm grateful to have been able to have a gluten free afternoon tea experience, my friend was NOT gluten free and did not want gluten free food. The restaurant tried to accomodate the mistake by bringing her a small plate, but it was only 5 small items. They were all savory items, no sweet cakes. She had to ask for scones. I wish she could have eaten the "regular" menu as the offerings looked more impressive in volume and quality. The gluten free sandwiches were toasted but lacked flavor and honestly filling. There was more bread than cucumber filling on one sandwich. As this was afternoon tea, I really expected gluten free scones and was disappointed with just crackers instead. My favorites were the small cakes and mushroom stuffed endive. For this price, I expected more volume of options, fillings and better quality food. The service, ambiance and tea was good but probably won't go again.

   We had a pleasant experience having breakfast. The server was polite and friendly. We enjoyed the food and did not mined the high price to have a quality food. However we were surprised by an extra culinary charge! There should have been an explanation of this frivolous charge.
