   We decided to spend our 49 wedding anniversary dinner at Chairmans. I t did not disappoint. We were seated at a lovely table with a view of the lake/ beach. The food was perfect and they even gave us a free desert of our choice. The whole evening was perfect. We’ll be back, maybe even next year for our 50 anniversary!

   Nestled in the heart of Mahogany, with spectaciular views of the lake, this restaurant is a culinary gem that exceeds expectations. The staff greets you with genuine hospitality, and the ambiance captivates with the perfect blend of sophistication and warmth. The service provided by our server was impeccable, creating a wonderful dining experience for our group. We were seated on the enclosed glass outdoor patio per our request, which was a fabulous experience. Complimentary underground parking is available. I highly recommend Chairman's and if you enjoy music, the nearby jazz club (Alvins Jazz Club) is very good, and is within walking distance.

   This is truly the best restaurant in Calgary! The drinks were incredible, the food...no words...but the service...truly the best service we have ever had! If you go, request Kim, she is truly one of kind and make our anniversary night one to remember! We have now found out go to restaurant for or special occasions or just an escape from our kids

   The only small issue was that my steak was slightly more done than I had requested. Certainly far from a major issue but I was honest when asked. The staff made sure that I was fully satisfied. All the staff we encountered were exceptional. The noise level is extremely low which adds to the experience. Ambience is lovely.

   The food at Chairman’s is really good. The service, however, is sub par. I made reservation for 2 people weeks in advance to celebrate a birthday and requested a nicer table at the restaurant. I even mentioned that I would be leaving a detailed review after our visit. This restaurant, however, doesn’t read any notes or requests ahead of time (or perhaps their hostesses have not had proper training), as when we arrived we were asked if we were there for a special occasion - clearly the staff were not aware of any notes made on OpenTable. We got sat a table right by the entrance, away from the windows with one of us having to face the front desk, even though there were plenty of booths available (where we could have sat side-by-side instead of across from each other as well). There were certainly tables available that had a better view. Some of those booths and tables sat empty the entire time we were there. With regard to the dinner service, the food remains excellent. However, our server (Duncan) lost interest in us almost immediately after a table was sat beside us and we counted 5 times that he walked by us before finally taking our food order. Though we enjoyed the meal, with a restaurant of this calibre, they could have at least included a mint or chocolate at the end of dinner - especially considering we paid almost $500 for two people to eat there. Overall, I would go back for the food but unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Chairman’s to anyone without first lowering their expectations regarding the service.
