Drawing inspiration from their coastal roots, the chefs reimagine Thailand’s regional dishes with bold creativity. From the herbal, umami-rich curries of the North to the fiery, coconut-infused specialties of the South, each dish tells a story of tradition and innovation. Expect unexpected twists blending Thai authenticity with contemporary flair. This exclusive collaboration is a tribute to Thailand’s diverse culinary heritage, united by three chefs bringing their own coastal perspectives. A feast for the senses. A meeting of coasts. A celebration of Thai flavors, redefined. (Limited seating. Reservations required.) Chefs’ bio Earl Ninsom (Langbaan), the Bangkok, Thailand-born chef and restaurateur, is considered among the most talented chefs in Portland, Oregon. He helms a small empire of nationally acclaimed Thai restaurants, including Langbaan, EEM, Yaowarat, PaaDee, Hat Yai, and Phuket Cafe. Yaowarat, EEM and Langbaan. Kitsanaruk (Langbaan) went to a culinary school in Bangkok, Thailand and spent times at Nahm (World 50 Best restaurants in 2013) and Bo Lan (Asia 50 Best restaurants in 2013), he was the chef de cuisine at Err Urban Rustic Thai in Bangkok before he moved to join Langbaan in 2017 where he is now an executive chef and partner. Chef Nate Limwong (Chalong) was born in Suratthani, a culturally rich area in Southern Thai cuisine known for its fresh seafood. Having worked on three continents (Asia, Australia, and North America), returning and celebrating her roots of Southern Thai cuisine would mean elevating Southern local Thai tastes to the world-class NYC culinary platform. She would like to pioneer and dedicate Chalong as the first Southern Thai-focused restaurant in NYC.

    Not the usual Thai restaurant in Manhattan - and for the right reasons. Delicious and differently cooked food from Southern Thailand. Very fast service for pre-theatre dining.

    The food was incredible. Service was amazing. A true gem in Hells kitchen. Would definitely go again. We ordered two cocktails and three dishes and loved everything!!

    Coming from the suburbs, I have had many Thai meals at local restaurant but was intrigued to try Southern Thai food. Southern Thai is rich in seafood and very spicy. The dishes were different and quite well prepared. Portions are small and you cannot adjust the level of spice. Prices are expensive. The cocktails are creative and well matched with the menu.

    Typical New York and that it was very crowded and very loud. That said, the food was absolutely amazing. Every single thing we ordered we loved, we will absolutely return to this wonderful place.

    The place was beyond busy and my girlfriend had to wait 20 minutes for the bathroom because they only had one toilet in the entire restaurant. The waitress wasn’t friendly at all and was rushing us to finish eating and leave. We were told we only have 90 minutes to eat before we would be forced to go as soon as we walked through the front door. In the middle of eating, they asked us to move tables because they needed our table for a larger group. The only saving grace was that the food was spectacular. Probably some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten in my life and I went to Bangkok 2 years ago.

    FYI our restaurant have 2 restrooms for the entire restaurant but your girlfriend might did not see it, and after we check on our CCTV camera our manager asked you to move to the table next to you before your foods even place on the table, which is not in the middle of eating (at the time it was just you sitting at the table, your girlfriend might be in the line for the restroom) If our restaurant made your party feel uncomfortable with the our policy and service, we are so sorry about your inconvenience.
