   My husband and I went there for our anniversary. It was a nice and quiet atmosphere. My husband had the filet mignon and baked potato and enjoyed it. I had Redfish over grits/spinach ; it was just okay. Along with these two entrees we had one glass of wine each. The bill was $180 with tip. In my opinion, just not worth it. Lots of other places in Nashville to get better tasting food at a more reasonable price.

   The food at Char is really good. We started by splitting the Caesar salad which was the only "miss" in that it was swimming in salad dressing which was good but too much. The shrimp and grits was awesome - and honestly a salad with this could be a meal for one person. I had the redfish sandwich was great but the bun overwhelmed the fish so I ate the fish with the slaw which was perfect and the fries are to die for. My husband had the ribeye and it was GREAT. We were way too full for dessert but menu looked great. What really made our meal though was our server who was AWESOME. She helped us navigate what we wanted to eat, even though she had a ton of tables, she brought her best self to the whole evening.

   Food was ok probably not a place where I would return back too. My wife enjoyed her food. I had the steak and was by far the worst I had. Was majority fat on the steak couldn't enjoy it at all.

   We were there during Jazz Brunch and it was difficult to hear and talk in the dining room. Other than that, it was good experience!
