    The waiter must have been new. He was very confused with our order. He kept bringing the wrong order and seemed to forget what we ordered. We live next door at The Peninsula and eat at the Chart House often. The food was not up to par, the portions were smaller and not prepared the same as last month. We informed the waiter when we sat down at 5:30 PM that we had to leave for a play by 6:30 PM. We ordered immediately and there were few people in the restaurant but the food came very slowly. At one point we were told that the broccoli on one order would take another 5 to 10 minutes so we cancelled that part of the order. The waiter told us that the restaurant was short handed in the kitchen. We also had to take our dessert with us. I have been patronizing the Chart House for the 6 years we have lived in the condominium next door. I bring friends and family often. I truly hope that food and service improves. I want the restaurant to prosper. DeVon Hardy.

    I chose Chart House for my friend’s birthday because of the great reviews, and we were not disappointed. We were seated promptly with a view of the river. Our apps (crab cakes and coconut shrimp) were perfectly cooked and plated. Our entrees (filet and trout) exceeded our expectations, but the best thing was the service. From the hostess station to our server Josh, everyone was top-tier customer focused. The manager even stopped by our table to check in. I think this is now my favorite dining experience in Jax.
