   Lovely experience for my brother’s 30th. Had a delicious cocktail in the bar first and then went upstairs for our meal. The food was incredible, even the bread they bring out at the start! It is the perfect place for an occasion as it felt so special. The staff are so attentive and friendly. It was a fantastic night here!

   Once again the Cheals team excelled in all areas. Both the lobster and duck egg starters were exceptional and well balanced, but the venison and guinea fowl exceeded both staters. We were well looked after from arrival through to leaving. Probably the best restaurant in the midlands

   We always choose a beautiful venue for our Christmas dinner date together, this year the venue of choice was of course Cheal’s. Let me tell you, this place did not disappoint! It lives up to every hype review it’s ever received. Our meal, along with the staff service was simply perfection and exactly what you’d hope from an establishment such as Cheal’s. The attention to detail was remarkable. The warm welcoming staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and relaxed while enjoying the wonderful dining experience. At no moment do you find yourself searching for eye contact with a waiter to order a drink/ask questions etc they just know, which personally we always feel is a bonus. Not forgetting the bar, which of course serves beautiful cocktails, both festive for the season and classics. Both equally delicious. Our waiter explained each carefully crafted dish served with superb detail and every single one was exquisite! Props to the chef and his wonderful team, you can tell lots of time and effort has gone in to the dishes, which are let’s face it, a work of Art! We will of course be attending Cheal’s again for our future celebrations.

   The food and he staff were excellent, Liam and Josh were a delight. We had the fabulous “taster menu” superb.!

   We have eaten at old and new Cheal’s 6 times in total. The old building was lovely and we always had a positive experience with amazing food. New Cheal’s venue is very impressive, we love Warrens bar but the service last night was slow, and even though the restaurant is bigger we still feel it’s cosy and has a warm feel. We absolutely loved last night tasting menu, the quality of the food was outstanding, however we really did not like the gingerbread soufflé, just not for us, I’m sure some people would love it ! We did have to ask for our Wine which we ordered but was not given to us before we started our meal. Overall we had an amazing experience and highly recommend

   The food was good and it was a interesting tasting menu. Very polite staff and attentive. Unfortunately, we were seated next to the service area which was a shame as it’s like being put next to the kitchen. I spend 3 hours freezing in a draught, which actually spoilt the over all experience and I could not wait to leave! When you are paying £275 for dinner (without alcohol) this should not be the overriding thought! It is a large restaurant and there were free tables, so I am not sure why it was deemed a good idea to position us there. The table cut the bottom of the artwork off that hung on the wall that the table was pushed up against and that felt very odd! It is a nice restaurant and nicely furnished, but the huge array of plastic flowers literally on every available surface, made me feel like I was at my grandma’s house in the 1990s and not in a good way! Lose the flowers and lose that table! !

   We came for Afternoon Tea and were not disappointed. Very attentive service and good product knowledge from all the staff. Nice that the tea was served in two course, savoury followed by sweet. Food quality was excellent, and a doggy bag for the items we couldn’t finish. Would definitely recommend.

    A total delight, fabulous service. Definitely not cheap but in this case very much worth the money, with all the delicious surprises, amuse bouche, beautiful breads etc. We chose the a La carte menu, lobster, duck ravioli, red deer, guinea fowl, souffles, all delicious. Did not buy a bottle of wine, We settled for gin and tonic. Only slight negative, background music not to our taste
