The location is nice but trying to find a parking spot is terrible. The restaurant is very nice and the ambiance is good. Our hostess was phenomenal. The food was average. My steak was tough and not seasoned well. The wasabi mashed potatoes were ok. I had to use salt on both to get better taste. My wife had the lobster and she said it was overcooked. The broccoli was hard as well and unseasoned. The cheesecake was hard like plastic. Per my wife the best thing were the oysters which she loved.

Jenna was out server and was fantastic. The oysters and chowder were top level. Truly delicious. The sushi is just average. I would not recommend it. Stick with the oysters!

Arrived at 730pm, 5 tables in the restaurant, and only one more that was sat during our 2 hours there, which seemed odd for a Saturday night. Quiet atmosphere. Menu seemed stronger on the raw, whereas the entree side seemed like a later decision. We got the ichi grilled oysters, which were delightfully flavorful. We then got the rock n roll sushi roll, it was just OK; seemed the rice was under seasoned. The garden salad was a beautiful presentation with a miso-ginger dressing. Our final course was the seafood boil with clams, mussels, whole shrimp, and 1/2# snow crab legs in a spicy beer broth. The broth was too spicy for my wife and had too much allspice - would have rather seen this in classic cajun style broth or lemongrass-cilantro broth. I do have to say the service was good (our server seemed newer) and the server assistant was very good making sure waters and plates were promptly taken away. We did not indulge in dessert, but with 2 people, everything listed above + 20% service charge (for any size party denoted on menu) was $220. On our reservation it was denoted as our anniversary - did not expect anything, however, acknowledgement is why it's on OpenTable.

The Chicago Oyster House should have good oysters, they do. Also, great value on prime steaks.
