Located in the historic Montford neighborhood, Chiesa (pronounced kee-ay-sa) is housed in a building that has been at the center of the community for over one hundred years, serving as the local grocery store, then as a church, and since 2014, the neighborhood Italian restaurant. Our friendly staff welcomes all guests as family, providing a warm and comfortable atmosphere for both inside and patio dining (when weather permits).

We went to Chiesa on a friend's recommendation when we were in Asheville, and we can't thank her enough! The restaurant feels like a cozy, neighborhood bistro. The home-made pasta and sauces were really divine, and or server clearly loves his job. We will go back the next time we are in Asheville.

First time here. Service was excellent and the owner came around to everyone’s table to make sure everything was okay. Servers stayed busy even is there weren’t tables to be served. For example, one person wiped the silverware. The homemade pasta and focaccia was very good, Know that they sauce (toss) the pasta in the kitchen, i.e. the pesto made the pasta look like spinach pasta when it came to the table. Nonetheless a very good meal and we will return.

Food was very good except the pasta was served clumped together. They changed the angel hair after complaint but the fettuccini replacement was also one big clump in our plates. A shame to ruin fresh pasta. Service was excellent.

Birthday dinner for my wife while visiting on vacation. Found Chiesa from a website that recommends best restaurants in Asheville. Loved the location in a historic part of town. Food was fantastic. Service was very good. Nice little restaurant in a former church building. We likely will return next time we visit Asheville.

Fabouous dinner. The carbonara was amazing, as were all the dishes. We especially liked the lemon cake.

The food was delicious! The entrees were fresh and surprisingly light and you could really taste the ingredients. The service was okay. Our server was very nice just not very attentive. Didn't really check on us after we ordered and didn't see them until they were asking if we wanted dessert. Just felt slightly ignored, so that was a little disappointing. Would want to go back eventually though, to try again!
