   This was our first time, we are always looking for new and better places to try when at the beach. Unfortunately it was just ok… Service & desert was amazing.

   We have been going to Chive Blossom for several years and as usual, booked a reservation two months prior for New Year's Eve. When we entered the restaurant there were two people who had entered us seating themselves at the bar. We were next. We were taken to a table set for 2 people literally in the middle of the traffic path of the restaurant. Given that we were literally the only ones being seated at that time, we asked to be at one of the other available tables. It was made very clear, in a less than friendly way by a floor manager, that our request was not going to be considered as it was "New Year's Eve" regardless of the fact that we had made the reservation two months ago or that every table in the restaurant was currently empty. We considered leaving but given the holiday decided to stay. The next two couples who came in, each only a party of 2 like ourselves, were seated in the tables that we had expressly asked for. I will say we normally enjoy Chive Blossom but this really made us feel like we were not considered important (for some reason). It is so sad because we have been regular customers several times a year which either wasn't recognized or ignored. It has left us feeling mixed about returning.

   It was okay but not great fish under cooked I said something about it but nothing was done just I’m sorry

   We dine at the Chive Blossom several times per year and it never disappoints. It is easily the best restaurant in the area and one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in the state. It has the best she-crab soup you will ever taste. The menu does vary with the seasons and what the local fishermen haul in, but the octopus, grouper, crabs cakes, and English toffee cheesecake are so good it is hard to stray from them. The mixed drinks are like the food, creative but not derivative. The wine list is very affordable.

   Always great food and service. I had the smoked chicken ravioli and my wife had the shrimp penne pasta.
