   This was our first visit and we had a great date night. We had the cucumber kimchi, the shrimp special, and the shortrib. All of the dishes were delicious. The ingredients were very fresh and interesting. The service was excellent. All of the staff was attentive and friendly. The chef stopped by several times making sure that all was great with our meal. We will definitely return soon. We highly recommend Choi's.

   Title: A Perfect Birthday Celebration at Choi’s Korean! I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at Choi’s Korean in San Diego, and I can't express how wonderful the experience was! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The chef even called to confirm our reservation, which was a delightful personal touch that made us feel truly valued. The food was nothing short of amazing! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We tried a variety of items, and every single one exceeded our expectations. The highlight of the evening was when the chef surprised my daughter with a special treat for her birthday, making her feel extra special on her big day. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and beautiful, perfect for a family celebration. We left Choice Korean with full bellies and happy hearts, and we can’t wait to return for another amazing meal. If you’re looking for delicious Korean cuisine and top-notch service, I highly recommend Choice Korean! Thank you for making my daughter's birthday so memorable!

   Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! (I already want another mushroom bao taco). Unfortunately, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. Maybe the 8 top in the back was being extra needy and throwing the team off, or maybe a FOH staff member called out, but we struggled to get anyone to help us throughout the entire experience. At one point I contemplated abandoning ship and seeing if we could walk in at Callie for our celebration meal. For example, after 1.5 courses without being asked if we’d like another glass of wine (our glasses sat empty for over an hour), I went to the bar and politely asked if we could have two glasses, explaining that our server was busy and I wasn’t simply ignoring the fact that I should order through him. The purse hook is a nice touch, but the one provided was way too short, and a team member noted this, but it was never remedied. I saw taller ones nearby but didn’t want to be rude and grab one for myself. The table to our left sat for a long time at the end of their meal before being presented with their check, and they seemed annoyed. We watched a team member hand a utensil through the plant near the kitchen to a guest instead of walking around the plant (which made the guest jump and was kind of hilarious). At the end of our meal, our server apologized for the slow service, and I felt bad for him because he’d seemed overly busy the entire night. I’ve been there, it’s super stressful! Overall, the meal was wonderful, but it wasn’t the top-notch experience we’d hoped for at a higher-end restaurant.

   This place is actually the best restaurant in San Diego. The staff are unbelievably friendly and thoughtful and the food is EXCELLENT. COME HERE!!!

   Amazing food, drinks, and services! The attention to detail is extraordinary. Sam, our waiter was fantastic, and the bartender Jeff was friendly and made killer cocktails! Most of all, Executive Chef Choi went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and like family. We will be visiting Choi for date night frequently.

   The food was amazing - I would eat everything on the menu. However, what particularly stood out was Dylan’s exceptional service. He was very polite, attentive, helpful, and accommodating. That level of service is outstanding and another reason to go back!

   What an amazing experience and memory. This place is a gem. From the hospitality, welcome, drinks, and the gooood.. omg... Each bite was a memory. Well seasoned and a thoughtful menu.. I had 3 specialty drinks and let me just say the lychee one was unreal. I could drink that like water. But the food.. the Bao tacos (bulgogi) with the kimchi.... uggghhh I can eat that every day. The veggie pot stickers = phenom .. but the Atta bowl (mushroom, bok choy, shrimp, rice, and broth) stole the show. It was seasonal but that needs to be on the menu daily . I can eat that on a cold day snuggled up next to a fire or any cozy environment.. omg will be dreaming of that. Chef Chois was gracious enough to meet us and give us this amazing dessert/pallet cleanser that consisted of raspberry greatness. I can't explain it. You just need to try it. Wow. I'll def be back. So thankful for a beautiful scenic Korean restaurant.

    Chef Choi’s Modern Korean cuisine was very good and a departure from what we think as Korean, which is typically K-BBQ. We had a large party that competed with the experience. Definitely will be back to focus on food and chef comments next time.
