   This is our favorite restaurant in HHI! We took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu this time and it did not disappoint! What a great deal for delish food. Starters were the wedge salad and meat balls. I would go back for the Wedge salad alone. lol I got my usual filet w/ the brandy peppercorn cream sauce and my husband switched it up this time with he salmon. Both amazing! Tried the whipped potatoes and roasted carrots this time w/ the pepper honey sauce. Wow! Topped off with the hazelnut creme brulee...yum! Bobby Ryder was playing which was an added bonus. We love the atmosphere and it's sooooo pretty! Whether you want a nice meal or sit at the bar for an app and drinks, you can't go wrong w/ Chophouse 119!

   Food was ok, Wife's Filet, requested Medium Rare came close to Medium Well. Truffled Mac/Cheese was great. Service was VERY slow, realize limited staff due to snow, but literally had to ask for Wine/Drinks 3-4X. Totally unhappy with Automatic 22% Tip added when service was so lackluster.

   As locals we had seen very mixed reviews for this restaurant and had never given it a try. I happened to see their menu for chamber week and it looked interesting. What a pleasant surprise! The food, service and ambiance were all wonderful. We all had the prixe fix menu for chamber week so it was less expensive than their regular menu but even if we had not, it would have been a fabulous experience. Portions were substantial, wine pairings perfect. My only criticism is I’ve never seen a restaurant on the island charge for soda refills 🙄. There were 6 of us and we all look forward to returning.

   Always good at the Chop House. This is our Friday night go to place. Food, drinks and service top notch. Try the oysters, Caesar salad & chicken for a change of pace. Manny at the bar will make you the best cocktails ever. Friday entertainment is Bobby Ryder - local legend. C u next Friday, Lou L

   My experience at Chophouse 119 was behind what I expected. The service resumed from Jake and Diego was unmatched as well as they recommended some GREAT options for us to try and they did not disappoint. I celebrated my anniversary and it was a memory that I truly won’t forget. No complaints. Thank you Chophouse!

   Beautiful place. Unfortunately, they were out of many things. I felt that some of their pricing was a bit high. Service was great, but I was not overly impressed.

    Our New Year's Eve dinner was a disaster. Prior to NYE I was contacted twice by the restaurant to confirm our reservation and both times we did confirm. We arrived on time at 9p for our reservation and were not seated until 10:10p. There were several other parties in the same boat. There was only one bartender and he was not offering service to anyone not seated in the bar area. When we were finally seated it took 20 mins to get water and another 20 mins to get the first round of drinks (10:30p water, 10:50p drinks). It wasn't just missing the small stuff - (for a long time we didn't have water glasses, knives, plates) but also some of the big things (poorly cooked shrimp, cold sides, etc). By midnight we were offered free champagne, which was nice - I am not sure what was poured but it was not champagne which capped off the worst dining experience I've had out in Hilton Head. When we asked for the check and after we confirmed with the waitress that this would not impact her tip - we asked what on earth was going on. She said that over half of the staff were just friends of the servers because they didn't have enough help. One bartender for an entire restaurant. The reason we were seated so late was because everything had become so backed up meals were taking 3 hours. The manager, whom I asked to speak with, never showed because he was working a section. She was embarrassed for the actual staff who tried to be helpful - but because of absent management seemed to be left to their own devices to solve problems that were frankly not solvable. This level of unprofessionalism isn't okay in any restaurant - and given the fact that we spent $840 for a party of 5 it was just ludicrous. We live in Hilton Head and I know there are staffing challenges - but for your own reputation's sake you should only accept bookings for service you know you can knock out of the park instead of just "hoping for the best" and still charging premium pricing. That is not okay.
