Great food. A little pricey but worth it. Loved the decadent Salmon en Croute. Friendly staff. Maybe a little understaffed so service a little bit slow. Pretty decor. Parking lot no longer available to restaurant customers unfortunately due to being owned(?) by MTA. So had to park in street which was a bit challenging.

Our food was excellent. My wife had the Crevettes and I had the Rack of Lamb. Our drinks were great. The restaurant is small with 30 tables total. The noise level was perfect, even though there was a party of 12 that could have been loud.

We love Chou Chou for its serenity and great food. So good to be at a restaurant where one can hear each other and enjoy conversation. And of course, the food is always wonderful. We enjoyed the filet mignon, French onion soup and the avocado crab salad, as well as the chocolate mousse and the opera cake. Lovely.

This was our third time at this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and brought out quickly. There weren't a lot of other diners so it was very quiet and pleasant. I worry however that the lack of customers could affect the business. It's definitely worth going to and for the Bay Area, the price was definitely reasonable. We had a mushroom ravioli, salmon and the crevettes flambees all of which were nicely prepared and cooked.

Wonderful dinner with great service in the refreshed Chou Chou. Everything was delicious but especially the fresh crab/avocado salad and rack of lamb. My husband enjoyed his glass of Bordeaux. Highly recommend!

We went to this little neighborhood French bistro because we couldn’t get a table at the more popular restaurants like Elena and Khao Tiew in West Portal. To our surprise the food and ambiance were better than either of those hot restaurants. It was a full house by 7:30pm and many of the diners spoke French, which is a good sign of authenticity. We had the ChouChou mussels and baked Brie for appetizers, and they were rich and perfectly served. Then we had the rack of lamb and mushroom soufflé, which were both astonishing good for a neighborhood restaurant. This will be our go-to French restaurant in the future.
