A unique journey of the unexplored flavours of India, Celebrating over 300 years of Calcutta's historic cuisine. Enter a world of adventurous new ingredients, flavours and cooking method artfully curated by Chef turned restaurateur Anjan Chatterjee.
The appetizers-Prawn Cutlet, Calcutta Fish Fry, Welsh Lamb Chops, Nizam's Malai Tikka, Tangra Chilli Chicken and Lotus stem sweet potato Chaat and in the mains you our signature Tiger Prawn Malai Curry, Kosha Lamb, Chicken Chaap, Dak Bungalow Chicken Curry, Grand Trunk Black Dal and the Calcutta Style Biryanis are a must try.
We are at less than one minute's walk from Marble Arch Tube Station at 3, Old Quebec Street which intersects Oxford Street and Bryanston Street.
Inspired with natural rattan-stained furniture and cream walls, the decor captures the essence of architecture of Calcutta. Also has a lovely, cosy alfresco dining with heaters.

    It's one of our favourite restaurants in London. They always serve amazing Bengali dishes and the service is impeccable. Would highly recommend.

    The vegetarian options were a standout. Each dish felt thoughtfully crafted and bursting with flavours! Special mention goes to the grilled paneer, which was perfectly charred and spiced to perfection. On the drinks side, their non-alcoholic selection didn’t disappoint. I particularly loved the nimboo soda. The service was also delightful - we felt well taken care of throughout our meal.     We had a great time but one of the Lotus Stem starters that i was looking forward too wasnt the best and the food was pretty rich - though maybe thats expected.

    Had a wonder time with family! Starters are to die for specially the malai tikka, the prawn cutlet and the laal murgi kebab! The dessert should include more variety of Indian or fusion sweets !

    1. The waiter taking our order could have been more helpful. He was refusing to acknowledge our request about ordering a vegetarian Signature tasting menu for the vegetarian diners, and ordering from non-veg a-la-carte menu from others with no dietary restrictions. Eventually he did accept our request, but the experience started with a bitter taste in the mouth. 2. The chicken dak bungalow was more of a butter chicken, as opposed to the traditional dak bungalow. Happy to explain further to the chef through a follow up call.
