I had a great lunch at Civic. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. I liked all the drink selections and the pleasant staff

I had the calamari for a starter. Not the best that I have had there. It was a bit soggy. Had the seafood special. Shrimp was not good. Tasteless. Scallops were also tasteless. Salmon chunks were excellent - could not have been tastier - as was the sauce. I have had specials here that were fabulous before particularly a pistachio crusted Cod special. Ambiance was reasonable. Difficult as the decor/color scheme is not warm. Clean - but not warm. Cold when seated by the window when one gets there early at this time of year. I kept my down jacket on during dinner. Beer selection is always good. Service could not have been better.

The Civic Kitchen was on my radar for a bit as I am always looking to try / find new places in the area. The restaurant had good reviews, but confess a part of me wondered how good would any restaurant be that was tied to a golf course. Turns out the restaurant clearly stands on its own. Enjoyed a terrific dinner with three work colleagues. Farm to table concept. Appreciated that all of the items showed some creativity. Three different entrees between the four of us. Everyone very pleased with their selections. Surprised at the number of people there on a rainy Tuesday evening in March. Service was excellent. Sincerely attentive without being too much. Good pacing. Spacious deck with seating in season. The obvious “go to” spot when available. Regular nights of live music, we were told. Happy to finally visit. Definitely now on my list as a place to introduce to my wife and friends in the near future.

The bar was busy but servers were great. We got a drink first then sat and it was very comfortable and easy to have conversation. Our server was excellent and helpful. She gave us time and gave great suggestions on our choices. We both plan to go back again. I’m looking forward to trying something new. I had the salmon special which was excellent. But other options looked great to me also. My friend had chicken with a sweet potato risotto. I tried the risotto and it was delish. I don’t eat meat besides seafood but she said it was excellent.

Since being introduced, Civic Kitchen is our new favorite restaurant! We’ve had drinks, apps, dinner and dessert each time we’ve been and everything has been delicious! You won’t be disappointed.

Have been to the restaurant a few times before. Meal choices seem to be going more trendy; not what I want to order. Burgers are the best in my area, but sometimes I want a bigger meal that’s simple. All you need is a good protein and fresh veggies without all the fanfare of too much spices and sauces. Will go there when in the mood for a burger.
