   Absolute joy of a restaurant. Food was sublime, lamb belly to die for. Service exceptionally good and a charming ambience. I would highly recommend and will certainly visit again in the near future,

   Really great food and wine at a very reasonable price. Service was attentive and friendly. We went on a Friday lunch time and it was relatively quiet but still had a nice atmosphere.

   Delicious, curated dishes: we loved everything from the starter to the dessert. The owner was great with guests and had very good recommendation for wines. We will return as it was a treat!! They absolutely deserve the high rating!

   Had the tasting menu with wines. Second visit to Clava & as good as the first. Both the food & wine pairings are excellent. Sommelier is incredibly knowledgeable & passionate about wine. An absolute gem of a restaurant. Would highly recommend

   I will be going back for sure. The food was gorgeous we (all three) of us really enjoyed our 3 courses and had a very pleasant evening, great company, great food and great service. The team are very friendly and knowledgeable. Wine list is fabulous. What I really liked was the menu is small but perfect - really well thought through.

   The tasting menu was disappointing. The food was beautifully presented however lacked depth of flavour and some of the dishes did not work well. The two main meat dishes (venison ragu and beef cheek) were poor mainly due to the quality of the meat used. I left half my Ragu because I discovered a large (1-2 inch) fatty gristly lump of meat that was clearly not intended to be there as the Ragu was a minced texture. It was a revolting discovery and the waiter did not care that it had put me off eating half my dish. The beef cheek was gristle and fat. Again, not appetising and I didn't eat it and the waiter did not notice or care. Initially we were seated next to an unmade table with a pile of napkins, left presumably for laying tables later that evening. This did not feel special...a bit like being seated next to an open laundry cupboard. I had a booking with some friends later in a few weeks which I shall be cancelling. I won't be returning.

    Our favourite local restaurant. I had lamb and it was beautiful! Service is always outstanding.
