    The food is amazing. I had the short ribs, fried green tomatoes, collard greens(a lot of sugar in them), & the biscuits. I cleaned my plate(s). I will go back as soon as possible.

    Prior to ordering my salad, I got up from the bar to wash my hand before eating. When I returned, my place at the bar had been moved to accommodate other people. Although my meal hadn’t been placed before me, I found it rude to move my seat without asking me. The salad with added chicken was fine, but the actions of the staff left a sour taste in my mouth.

    The grillades and grits was delicious! The biscuits were fluffy inside with a golden exterior-served warm with the whipped butter and tomato jam. The deviled eggs never disappoint. The juicy interior and crispy exterior chicken and waffle was exceptionally well made today. The Yardbird was made to order for us with an extra spicy flavor. The avocado toast was ok, and the only miss was the Mimosa with cranberry-too bitter and flat.

    Fantastic food as always!  Devine 🥰Chef Tom's Grillades + Grits* ancho braised short rib, vital farms scrambled eggs , crispy pickled red onion, red wine demi, barton springs mill cheddar - chive grits !! The peanut butter and chocolate pie was fabulous.

    This place, overall, is great. I ordered the steak and eggs, it arrived lukewarm and tasted like it had no seasoning. My eggs were cooked the way I ordered them but again, they were lukewarm The waitstaff is great, no complaints and its a little pricey but that's not out of the ordinary for Austin. We will come back for sure, ill just makes sure and specific that I want my breakfast to come hot.

    My partner's pork chop dish was generous and delicious and a good value. But my scallop dish was very ungenerous - 4 not very big scallops - which were plopped down on some good mashed potatoes with a bunch of halved cherry tomatoes and capers in a butter sauce. No bread was served. Neither inspired nor a good value. Our waiter was excellent and attentive. The dark beer he recommended was really good. My partner's second cup of punch was totally different from the first one. We'd like Colleen's to be more even in quality and value. We live in the neighborhood. We love BD Riley's and Marufuku nearby, but would like Colleen's to be another option for us. I hope they can fix things.
