Nested in Uphams Corner, Dorchester, we're a lively and intimate 30-seat restaurant serving brunch on the weekend and dinner at night with a full bar and outdoor patio. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food. We are proudly Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and women-owned. We believe that food is a vital aspect of community building and we envision a place that is actively engaged in highlighting the culture, art, and history of our community.

- Patio dining: patio reservations are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Our patios are partially covered protecting from light to moderate rain and light wind.

- Timing: dinner's last seating is at 8:45pm and brunch's last seating is at 1:30pm. Your table is reserved for 90 mins for parties of 1-5 guests and 2 hrs for parties of 6+ guests.

From the OpenTable editors: This Dorchester gem's cross-cultural menu is unlike anything else in the region, and that's why it's already earned a five-star review in the Boston Globe and been named Boston Magazine's best new restaurant in 2023. The restaurant, led by managing partner Biplaw Rai, is a nod to the rich contributions of immigrants to this country. Dishes embrace the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora, which means you'll find West African-style suya beef with caramelized onions and spicy Ghanian plantain preparation kelewele. Get in on the celebrations in the light and airy dining room or the greenery-lined patio in the back, all part of what was once a historic rest station in Upham's Corner.

Our party of two ate here for a birthday celebration. The service was cordial and very good. The food was outstanding--the best I have had for some time in a restaurant. My one disappointment was that the glass of wine arrived fairly promptly while the mixed drink did not arrive at the table until more than 10 minutes later--after we were mostly done with our salad--unacceptable .

Top notch experience. Food is different and special. The cocktails were a high point. When they didn't have a beer from the menu, they offered two other great choices. A happy place.

A very nice place with innovative fusion dishes. A beckon of foodie culture located in one of the most culturally diverse neighbourhood of Boston, Dorchester. Must try for all who crave good food in New England. Book in advance since the place is rather small. In summer there is additional seating on the patio.

Flavors out of this world! Meat fall right off the bone good, my husband is usually a picky eater and he licked his plate clean. Definitely will come again to experience the outdoor patio in the warmer weather!

We appreciate having a new dining option in the neighborhood, our first visit left us with mixed feelings. The jerk duck delivered impressive flavors but disappointed with its modest portion size. Unfortunately, the beef short rib was very dry along with the yucca. The breadfruit sliders were delicious. Despite these initial hiccups, we will return in the future.

Wonderful variety of flavors you don’t find many places. Very much appreciate the drink program, especially with so many non-alcoholic options. Looking forward to going back when we can enjoy the patio.
