At Connie and Ted’s you’ll find simply prepared fish and shellfish, inspired by the classic clam shacks, oyster bars, and fish houses, that dot the New England Seaboard and the Western Coast.

Enjoy one (or two) California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.

This is my second time going back to Connie and Ted’s and my experience was very awesome. I met my cousin from New Jersey. It was her first time and she really enjoyed it as well. The parking is very easy The restaurant I’ll do very busy. It’s quiet and enjoyable to be able to chat. The day we both had four oysters to start and as usual, they were very fresh We both had a different kind Then my cousin rachel had the Crudo salad And I had a lobster croque without the marinara sauce We enjoyed everything very well And to top it all, we had a pleasure to meet the manager, Randi, who chatted with us extensively, she treated us to a dessert those Minne apple pies that were very delicious! I have another reservation in three weeks with a couple of my friends at Connie and Ted’s, and I’m truly looking forward to go back. This is becoming I go to place

Such a fun and inventive restaurant. The ceviche tostada was so good. Oysters full of flavor. Great selection. Black cod served crusted. Enjoyed my lunch. A place to enjoy.

Overall good experience. You can tell the staff enjoy being there and that translates to the customers. NOW - the food. Oysters were great, can always trust when they have them from MA. Wellfleet were our favorite. Smoked fish dip was good and lobster roll was decent but lacked the hot butter listed on the Menu. I got a bone to pick with the New England clam chowder hah. The clear broth was not it and wasn’t that hot. If there gonna call it New England clam chowder it’s gotta be thick + creamy. Clams were good size and oyster crackers were fun. Our favorite was the grilled calamari. The tomato and bread crumb mix was sooo good and calamari was cooked perfectly. Decent experience and would try again - as a new englander I would stay away from the chowder.

Honestly, this was a very underwhelming experience. For appetizers, I ordered the fried calamari and clam chowder. The calamari was not good. The outer layer was soft (not crispy) and completely sliding off the actual calamari. The clam chowder was also very wet. It did not have a chowder consistency, it was more like soup. It was as if they got clam chowder and then watered it down. The potatoes inside the clam chowder were also overcooked. They were extremely soft and melted into the soup before we could finish eating it. When the entrees came around, they were just as disappointing. I ordered the lobster roll and the shrimp bucatini. The lobster roll tasted good, but it was disappointing for the price. It was also like 5 inches across, so I was able to eat it in six bites. The bucatini was probably the most disappointing thing I ate on the menu (although extremely close to the calamari). The sauce just didn't work. It was this sweet chili almost Asian inspired sauce. It didn't match the flavor of the bucatini and shrimp. The shrimp portions were also horrible. The shrimps were cut in half so it made it look like there were more pieces. There were probably 5 or 6 actual shrimps inside this dish. The bucatini itself was also undercooked. It was actually a struggle to finish this meal because of how bad it was. It was like eating empty carbs and at that point, I would have liked to have bread instead. The ONLY saving grace of this meal was the apple turnover dessert. The dessert was actually delicious and you get three of them. All in all, this experience was extremely underwhelming. There was nothing truly 'special' about it and you can get much better value seafood eating somewhere on the coast.

Great experience again at a favourite spot. We had a later booking for 8:30pm and the restaurant was emptying. I thought it was a little rude to be asked by one server if we would like dessert and then told 10 min later by another “you need to leave now”. There are more polite ways to empty a table.

Food is not that great. Have been there many times and always leave with that feeling. Too bad because I love the concept of a good New England influenced seafood restaurant.

Such good food. The staff were very nice and very accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. And even though we were outside the heaters were perfect and we were very comfortable.
