   Four of us went to Coopers on Jan 22. We were greeted right away and taken to our table that had wooden benches for seating - not the most comfortable. The weather was on the chilly side and it was freezing inside. We eventually warmed up a bit. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. She mentioned Coopers had removed some items from the menu and had lowered prices. When they opened a year or so ago, we looked at the menu and almost fell over reading the prices. It took us a year to try it out due to that and we were happy to hear prices had come down to somewhat reasonable. We had the salmon, the filet, the bolognese, and the bourbon chicken. We also had the crab cake appetizer, apple salad and roasted oysters. All dishes were VERY good! We will be back for sure. Thanks for the great service.

   We were all disappointed . It was our third dining experience at Cooper’s. We are truly trying to give Cooper’s a chance. Tonight, solidified our decision to not return. The lobster bisque was inedible, served cold and not at all what was expected. (check out the lobster bisque at Tides). The Cesar salad was overly dressed and chopped in a way that made it impossible to grab on to with a fork. The attempt to make an interesting version of a wedge salad, failed. The dressing tasted like it was bottled and the pieces of bacon in the jam were hard. Very pretty presenation. Fried food not a hit. Calamari was greasy and truffle fries were mushy, not crisp. I wish this new restaurant could provided Vero with some special dining. Great conch fritters!

   We had a nice waiter though he was new and had to go back to kitchen to get answers several times. That's OK, but----- We ordered drinks that were on the menu--they didn't have the ingredients for one of them. So the drink my guest ordered instead was a dirty martini with bleu cheese olives (they were specified on the menu). No bleu cheese olives. Then we ordered oysters--3 different kinds. They were out of one of them. Then we ordered lobster bisque. It did not look like lobster bisque and was so full of vinegar it was inedible. (They didn't charge os for that.) Lamb chops--out of lamb. It's impossible to believe that a restaurant marketing itself as a "chop" house should be out of chops! The scallops (thank god they had those!) were delicious.

   Didn’t even get to dine here. Horrible front of the house. Stood at the front with my family for more than 10min(not even busy). Had 4 employees look directly at us and still didn’t even come to greet us to sit us down(again not even busy). I actually tracked down the manager and told her this. Ended up leaving to go somewhere else. Horrible service.

   The food was very good and not as expensive for what we had as I was led to believe though expensive nonetheless. The waitress could have been a little less presumptuous when she asked whether we would like to have dessert or not. When we said no she immediately put the check down on our table. Talk about bums rush. The singer was much too loud with the result that we had to talk louder than we needed to. I don’t understand why management doesn’t see that entertainment should never interfere with a table’s desire to find out the latest in people’s lives. People come to a restaurant to socialize and eat good food while doing it, not to be entertained. Background music not background noise. The restaurants decor is very classy with white being the dominant color. The lighting was perfect and seating comfortable. It made the food all the more delicious.

   All four of us had a different dish. Lamp chops, Grouper, Pork Chop and Strip steak. All four were cooked to perfection!! The server Katherine did an excellent job as well. Entire experience could not have been better. We’ll definitely go back soon!!

    The food was great and service was excellent but there were so many items that were unavailable- several appetizers, dinner choices, and even drinks. We get that it was a Sunday but still…
