First time to this restaurant and I can honestly say it was one of the best restaurants in KC that I have been to. Our group of 7 traveled an hour away to participate in Restaurant Week. It has become an annual tradition for us these past several years, and it is a great opportunity to visit the City and try something new. Our entire group ordered off of the RW menu. Everything was flavorful, portions were generous, and service was very good. Austin, our server, was friendly and attentive. Several of us ordered the pork chop dish, including myself, and it was so very tasty! One item I would change on the dish would be the "broccolini", which I am definitely not a fan of. Too much stem and not enough broccoli. Tried the brussels sprouts appetizer. Such a different taste, but a very good one. Would have liked to see more sprouts on there and a little less of the sauce. Both very tasty but it seems like the sauce size should have matched more of the number of sprouts on it or you are eating the sauce by itself. My daughters and I have a tradition of visiting the Plaza every year during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season to see the beautiful lights and eat dinner. I have already told my girls that when they come to town (one lives in NYC and the other in Scottsdale) that we will be going to Cooper's Hawk. Great atmosphere too! What a very nice restaurant. KUDO'S to management and ownership!

1. We had a reservation and it was over 30 minutes past our reservation before we were seated. Obviously they took too many reservations or they were allowing too many walk-ins in front of us. 2. Several tables around us were not cleared and cleaned throughout the entire dining experience. 3. The salad came with empty dressing bowls. 4. The bread prior to our meal was really good and so was our meal. 5. Drink refills were slow. 6. They overcharged us the advertised price for the restaurant week lunch deal. 7. The recommended tip amount on the bottom of the receipt should be based on the sub total. Instead it was based on the taxed total. 8. They did correct the overcharge for our meals; however; the tip amount on the bottom of the receipt did not change. VERY SUSPICIOUS 9. We have pics documenting all true statements above.

We went for lunch on Sunday during restaurant week. As usual, the food was outstanding. Our service, however was horrible. Waited 25 minutes before our order was taken. I should have trusted my gut and left after no acknowledgment for 15 minutes. Water glasses not refilled, no check-in from waitress throughout meal. We asked if table bread was part of the restaurant week menu (and would understand if it wasn’t). She sad she hadn’t had a minute to get it. This at 30 minutes. It was another 15 for the bread. Everything took an inordinate amount of time, without explanation or apology. Worse yet, we didn’t see her in the section much at all. Other patrons were also clearly unhappy. I’ve waited tables. I know how hard it is. I tip well because I’ve been there and I appreciate what it takes. There was simply no excuse for the total lack of attention at a restaurant of this stature. I called to speak to management. They were busy and I haven’t heard back. What should have been about an hour lunch was two hours. This city had amazing restaurants. The food here lived up to that reputation. The service did not. I won’t return because there are many excellent places where I can get both.

Our server Silas was the best of the best. Quick, fun, and attentive. When our drink didn’t taste like a margarita he got it exchanged. The broccoli wasn’t cooked all the way. The rest of our food was good. I would come back and would hope to see our server again because he made the experience a 10 out of 10.

I usually enjoy our date nights at Cooper’s Hawk and tonight was no exception. We had a reservation and we were seated on time. Our server, Joseph was professional and attentive. It appeared as though Coopers Hawk was a little understaffed, but Joseph handled it with such grace. The food was brought out in a timely manner and was prepared to perfection. It was presented well and was delicious. I wish I would have taken some pictures. My wife had the Gnocchi Carbonara which was savory. I had the surf and turf with beef medallions that were tender and melted in your mouth. I also had the crusted grouper which was fantastic. The only drawback was it was a bit noisy, but other than that it was a great experience. I plan on coming back soon and would recommend Cooper’s Hawk to anyone.

Cooper's Hawk consistently provides good food for good prices. I like the variety of the menu from the Leonard burger to chicken Madeira to spaghetti. The wine selection is extensive through their own brand. Service was a little hectic today with it being restaurant week and the weekend.
