I have been coming to cork and flame for a few years since moving to Augusta. This has always been an excellent experience with wonderful food. However, this evening was awful, the service was disappointing and the food was terrible. We waited 40 minutes before we were provided beverages and my chicken dish was raw. All of our appetizers and main meal was served at once and our dessert was cold and seemed like it had been sitting for quite awhile. Our server stated from the beginning that she “was not a sever” and definitely demonstrated that for the rest of the evening. Cork and Flame prides itself on the experience, yet no one came to apologize except the Sommelier who did comp us a bottle of wine which was three years off from the bottle we originally ordered and was never brought.

Second time visiting Cork and Flame. First time was a terrific experience all around. This time, the food was great but the service was terrible. After sitting at our table for over 30 minutes with no service whatsoever, we had to hail a nearby waiter just to get our water glasses filled. Everything was slow all night. It was bad enough and took so long that we asked for the check as soon as the food was delivered. Something that struck me as odd… the waiter insisted on taking my credit card before bringing me the check (maybe that’s now a thing? It was weird to me). He did bring me a copy after he ran the card, and I took a picture of the receipt because that seemed very strange. Anyway… The bison and the filet were both great, and we also loved the Brussels sprouts and lobster bisque. The food was good enough and I enjoyed my first experience so much that I’d go back. But Cork and Flame is too pricey a restaurant to have service as bad as we had tonight.

Service was a bit slow. A number of guests were going to a local performance. Was not able to enjoy the service and meal.

The food was great - halibut for me and chiopino for my wife - both meals were excellent. The wine choices are out of this world and Hayden, our server, was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely go back.

Poor waitress…..it’s a shame the kitchen put her through this. Reservations made for 6 after confirming we could make a concert at 7:30 that was less than 5 mins away. Upon arrival, hostess and waitress assured us we would make the concert. Well we left at 8:06 with one entree (pasta) “to go.” The other 2 entrees and salad finally arrived and we only had bread service and pakoras as appetizers. Two couples at separate tables arrived before us and got their entrees before us and finished eating. Two other tables with couples got their entrees served separately as well. The halibut lacked flavor and pakoras were doughy. Kitchen needs to get their act together. Definitely not a fine dining experience. For our troubles, we were not charged the to-go entree and a bottle of wine was free.

Food was amazing and the restaurant was perfect as always. The only thing that seemed off about this visit, was having to wait 2 hours for our entrées to arrive. While we understand food takes time to prep, especially as amazing as it is, it still should not take 2 hours. Overall, the experience was good.

We really enjoyed the food and wine. The first time we came there seemed to be a few more gluten free options. I wish that was the case. Being gluten free is hard when they have to take all the sauces off or delete things. We are coming for the experience too.

People who came in and seated close to us were eating their main courses way before we received ours. It was very busy, but we seemed forgotten by the server more than ever before. We go there for anniversaries, birthdays, and holiday treat the wife type meals.
